A Spattered Sketch! (ABSC#050)

It’s Friday and this week we have an AnnaBelle Bling Sketch Challenge (ABSC#050).   Me and sketches are only just learning how to play nice, and I totally love that about a challenge…

Oh, the unpredictability of spray mists…  it’s so difficult for me…   but how absolutely fabulous do they look, and I was thinking, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to see them through the acetate…    and  I really like how it turned out!  I’ve made this card for the Spatter Technique Challenge in the Moxie Fab World, where there are already some of the most amazing creations in the gallery!

You can find the links in my sidebar for the other Belles, so why not visit them and see what their take on this sketch is.  Also this week Jess has a Topical Tuesday tutorial showing how to make an awesome Post-it Note Holder!

Now it’s your turn, I would love to see what you can make of this fun design!

Other Supplies:  StazOn – Timber Brown, Brown Cardstock.

About our challenges:

– We post our challenges every Friday at 12:00pm AEST (AEDT during Daylight Savings).
– Each challenge runs for a week, and will close on the Friday 10.00am so that we can announce and showcase our weekly winners prior to the next challenge.
– Each weeks winner will receive our special blinkie to display on their blog and a $10.00 Gift Voucher to spend in store at AnnaBelle Stamps (or something equivalent).
How To Play Along :
– Copy and save our challenge banner and include it and a link back to the ABS blog in your post if you have a blog.
– Please link directly to your entry not just to your blog or gallery.
– Please don’t link to postings made prior to the date of our current challenge.  All projects submitted must be new.
– A maximum of 7 challenges may be combined including this one.
– You may enter any of our challenges several times as long as each submission is with a new creation.
– We would love you to use AnnaBelle Stamps and embellishments, but you can play along without using them, it’s all about sharing ideas 🙂

  1. Fun take on the sketch Therese! Love your spattered background – the pink and brown are a great color combo! Cute pink birdhouse and brown bird too.

  2. Isn’t it funny, the more I play with sketches the more I don’t *hate* them 😉 I didn’t see THAT coming! I love the crazy splatter (I know exactly what you mean about them!) and the fun pattern stamps in the background!

  3. I balked at the idea of playing in sketch challenges too! LOL! Now I LOVE using them—especially when my craft mojo is low they really help to jump start me.

This card is really has the OOOH AAAH factor going on for me! The splatters are fantastic! I know how unpredictable and frustrating sprays and splatters can be. So I also feel your pain! You made both the splatters and the sketch work together beautifully!!!

  4. I love your spray mist and splatter, Theresa!Beautiful take on the sketch! A feast for the eyes indeed, not so much for the clean-up (LOL)!! Happy weekend!

  5. Well what a beauty this is !! The splatter is such a gorgeous back drop for this card, the colours and masking are just fabulous !

  6. I wouldn’t have known it was acetate unless you had said it…very clever indeed! I don’t own any spray mists, but have seen so many wonderful things done with it! Why does the ‘want’ list never end!! Great take on the sketch.

  7. Love the misting Therese…it is a very hit and miss technique I’ve found too!!! Looks cool showing through the stamped acetate (Can see it now you mention it)
