Spring is in the Air

This month the challenge is  Spring is in the Air  and I just had to play with some fabulous stamps from Hero Arts & Flourishes.

Gotta say that this is not my fave colour combination and when I think about it maybe it’s the fact that my school uniform was dark green and bright yellow and I wore it for way too many years….   I don’t mind how this card turned out but you can’t love everything you make right, I’m thinking maybe in different colours?

  1. I think your card looks beautiful in yellow and green, however I can understand your aversion to it (school uniforms will do that). I love your background and the single butterfly is just beautiful, Therese!

  2. Hi Therese, wow this looks great. I was never a yellow girl but it has slowly grown on me – its such a happy, bright colour. Great card. xo

  3. Love the interest you have created with the two different styles. My uniform was brown – never wear it now (brown, that is – too old for the uniform and too fat!). To me yellow is always spring.

  4. Another gorgeous card…Love all your work…I always want to go and make something after I’ve seen what you’ve created!!!

  5. Yellow isn’t my favourite colour either, but I think your gorgeous card has changed my mind. I’ll use it more often if my cards turn our as fabulous as yours.

  6. Gorgeous card as always. The butterfly is perfect and I love the way I feel drawn to open the card. (And you’ve possibly explained my aversion to green on cards – my primary school uniform!)

  7. My uniform wasn’t yellow, but I still have an aversion to it..however, your card is gorgeous and it definately says spring. Great work.

  8. What a neat idea to have the detail colouring on the inside of the card…it’s very effective use of this stamp. The butterfly is beautifully done as well. Thanks for the inspiration you share. Di
