Oh WOW I just adore these two stamp sets from Altenew and I’ve had this idea in my head for what seems like ages. So I thought I would share it with you at Muse because I cannot wait to see how this inspires you!
All of the deets can be found here on the Muse blog…. but here’s how it works:
- Use ANYTHING you want from your stash to create a project inspired by this week’s Muse.
- In your post, explain how you were inspired and link back to the Muse blog.

Other Supplies: Prismacolor Pencils – Spring Green, Olive Green, Black. Black cotton (I had to literally search the house for this… I finally found some on a bobbin in my sewing machine….. but first I had to find the sewing machine lol)

I have just bought and received the flowers as well– have a blue theme in mind for a wedding card… this is just lovely, and on the pink cardstock to boot!!

Therese can you maybe tell me what the difference is between prisma premier and spectrum noir pencils is?
i am thinking of buying them…but since i already own,Copics,SU markers,Distress markers and watercolor pencils.I don’t know if I should or shouldn’t try it…what do you think?

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I adore my Prismacolor Pencils and would have to say they have been one of the best investments that I have made when it comes to colouring. I think they are easier and more versatile than Copics (although these are fab too). The best thing about them is that if you already own Copics you can use them together, just colour with your Copic’s first and then use the Prisma’s to add shading and depth or highlights! I’ve not tried the Spectrum Noir’s (apparently these are oil based so very similar to use) but there are heaps of gorgeous colours…. and they look beautiful on the cards that I have seen coloured with them. I have a vague memory of Jennifer MacGuire doing a comparison video on pencils a little while ago, if I find the link I’ll send it on to you. I do want to say that I have tried the Faber Castell Polychromos pencils (these are also an oil based and can be blended with baby oil or mineral spirit) they look great but didn’t seem to blend as easily and once I purchased my set of Prismas these were pushed aside, maybe I should try these again.
