Altering your dies at Addicted to Die Cutting (video)!

Now I don’t mean actually getting out the grinder and ‘really’ altering your dies but sometimes it is possible to adapt them to get the look that you are after.  Such as making the cut longer or wider…   so many possibilities.

You can see my video here or Watch it at Youtube.

Now, I used a dark background (so it would be easier to see the result) but after looking at the card I was thinking maybe I could have gone with my original plan and used a white background……  What do you think?

I’m back again tomorrow, twice, so I’ll see you then and again!

  1. Gorgeous congrats card, Therese! Love how the die cut background looks behind your pretty white flowers~thanks for this wonderful tip 🙂

  2. Love it. Pinned both the video and the card. Will try this. Embarrassed to say I haven’t used that die in a while and I have a full packet of Kaisercraft flowers which look identical to the ones you used. I like the charcoal background but can see the white on white would be softer. Thanks.

  3. This is such a gorgeous card, Therese! I like it with the dark background…especially because the flowers are white! Either way, it’s such a pretty card!
Thanks again for another great video!

  4. Now with all the thinking you put into a card… 🙂 I think white on white would be lovely too, but I happen to think the grey pops!

  5. Stunning card, Therese … love the drama of the dark background with the delicate die cut and soft blooms! White on white is so gorgeous, so I think that would be just as gorgeous … just different! Thanks for another wonderful video! Anita 🙂

  6. Hi Therese
I love your cards and videos…What a great way of using a smaller die. . This card would look equally good in all white. Thanks for taking the time to share your cards and tips…I look forward to each and every posting.
