Using Kraft, what a Whoot!

A quick publication share today for the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine.  The call was to use kraft so I kept it simple with a masked background and added this cute little fella from AI.

  1. Another great pub – always love seeing your cards in the mag Therese. I’m off to lunch with friends on this glorious winters day! xx

  2. Such a cute owl and I love how you colored him! Love the vertical stripes on the background, too! Sweet card, Therese!

  3. I truly appreciate every card you post. This one is particularly good, the colors and simplicity are wonderful. I find kraft paper a real challenge. The owl steals the show.

  4. Therese what a brilliant card, I love your masking on the kraft card stock, that looks so good. And the owl, what a character then to finish off with those colours just love it.

  5. Congrats on your publication. The confetti is great in those colours they co ordinate perfectly with his hat and on the kraft. He is a cute little owl full of character.
Ms 10 had a friend sleep over after a full day of netball yesterday. I must go supervise what they are up to in the kitchen!

  6. I think it’s unanimous – this card is too cute! Love the stripes in the background – subtle but adds the necessary impact to stop the card from being plain. You’re so clever. 🙂

    1. Hi Di, Thanks so much for your lovely comments. The ‘confetti’ was die cut from coloured cardstock scraps using the Mama Elephant Confetti die (it has sequins – cupped & flat as well as hearts and stars). And I think the best thing about being able to die cut your own sequins is that the colour is always going to match perfectly. Hugs Therese x

  7. Very sweet little owl, Therese. Love his party hat and the confetti he’s tossed up. Fun colors too. Love the kraft.

  8. Those stripes are yummy and I love what a big impact those little bits of confetti make!
