Video : Like Gnome One Else!

Absolutely having some fun with my Prismacolor Pencils today, it feels like it’s been an age since I’ve used them.  So a fun set of Gnome stamps from Scrapbook Boutique and a OLC and the music turned up!

  1. This guy is just too cute … Therese, you gnome your audience so well! I’ve been missing those prismas of yours, too! Which reminds me … if a novice [me] would like to try coloring with pencils, would you suggest Prisma with Gamsol, or Derwent Inktense water-color ones?

    1. Hi Michele, If I had to choose any pencil it would definitely be the Prismas, they really are easy and can be used with or without gamsol (white odourless spirit). Initially I found the Inktense caused as you say ‘a real hot mess’ but just kept playing and eventually worked it out. They are total fun too, but not as easy. Also the good thing about the Prismas is that they can be used with any of the alcohol markers, you just need to use the markers first and then the pencils can be added for details and shading. You can buy the pencils individually so you could just give them a try without a big outlay. Hope this is helpful, Therese (ps the pencils can be mixed to create other colours too)

      1. Thank you so much, Therese… besides the Copics that were a recent gift to me, I have only ever had Spectrum Noir alcohol markers in a few color families. I think they were very old, as half were dry after the first few times used. I love to water color, but sure do like the results you get … I may have to give them a try… one day soon! Many thanks…

  2. Therese, cute little gnome and snail, always enjoy your pencil colouring. Love your stamp on the back of the card. Good to know that gamsole is finally here, off to order. Cool bananas

  3. I’d really like to try these pencils.. What would I do with my 387 copies? 😂 cute little gnome love the CAS style!

  4. Darn sweet little gnome! And your videos continue to teach me new things. Not sure if I’m up to trying my hand at this, but if I do, I know where to come for tips and tricks. Just a sweet card. Have a great weekend.

  5. I really love your ‘Ultra CAS design’, Therese! Beautiful coloring, too! Off to check out your video 🙂

  6. Fabulous colouring. Very relaxing to sit and watch your video almost as good as colouring myself 🙂 Off to add a few more things to my list – Thanks 🙂 Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

  7. Therese, I thoroughly enjoy all your videos. I prefer the clean and simple cards, and yours always have a unique twist that makes them special. I appreciate your talent and your willingness to share it with us. I have wondered about the image on the back of your cards. Is it a custom stamp or something you designed on the computer? Thank you for the many great ideas and techniques.

    1. Hi Ruth, Thanks so much for your lovely comment, you have really made my day! The image on the back of my cards is computer generated, I have it all saved and just print out a heap of A4 cardstock before I cut it down to make my card bases. The image is royalty free from a card program that I own (Greeting Card Factory) but it could just as easily be created on any word document. I have a dream that one day I will get organised and order my own stamp for the reverse of my cards, but maybe next year lol. Hope this is helpful, have a great and crafty day! Hugs Therese.

  8. Totally awesome Therese!!! Your coloring is always beautiful!! I must give this a try!! I have a huge set of Prisma pencil and never used them. That’s crazy. Thank you for the inspiration!!

  9. This is just way too cute – and that snail! Clever. I almost bought this stamp set today – but I resisted! I almost caved in due to your cutie card.
