Video : Stamping a Sentiment Background!

As soon as I saw this set at TAWS I knew just what I wanted to do, create my own word background, although there was a little moment of debate where I did consider using a colour instead of the black…  but in my mind’s eye it was black, so it stayed that!

  1. Hi Therese, I love that love card background. Do you use versa fine onyx black when you emboss with black embossing powder? Sometimes I find it messy and was wondering if there was anything else other than the clear.

    1. Hi Doreen, I have never had any luck with black embossing powder and tend to just use black ink (any pigment ink will do, but I usually use Onyx Black) and heat emboss it with clear embossing powder. There is a clear mat (not glossy) embossing powder that is made by WOW, I think this would also be a great option, but I don’t have any… yet. Hope you have a great day and find some crafty time, thanks so much for your comment, Hugs Therese

      1. Thanks. Multi coloured would be interesting too 🙂 I have just been given a 5 minute rest from playing boggle! Little Ms 10 and I spent the morning re organising the games cupboard and old is new again 🙂

  2. Thanks Tererese, yes thats what i have been doing but every now and again i mess up, especially when I mask. will keep trying and look for the WOW mat. Thanks again. ox

  3. Gorgeous card, Therese! Thanks for showing us how to line it up 🙂 I love the font on the sentiment, and your pretty pink butterfly is the perfect touch!

  4. You did it again Therese, a STUNNING card, It is perfect with the colors and the touch of glitter.
Love what you are saying about having that fine glitter all over the place for a few days. My son often says “mom you have glitter in your face AGAIN” haha.

Hope you have a lovely day and thanks for the inspiration.
    Hugs for you//Gunilla

  5. Brilliant background idea and one I think I might have to try out. I even have a stamp in mind…..you always leave me with ideas on how to use my stamps differently, I really appreciate that!

  6. I watched this video a while back with my girl. Couldn’t comment then. I admired your ability to get it so straight… it looked so simple although it is so hard. Thanks for the tips and tricks and the inspiration, I need to try this on my own.
