Video : 2015 Same but Different Christmas Card Series… the beginning!

What better way to start my 2015 Same but Different Card Series than a little challenge to myself.  Six of the same but different cards and using only two stamp sets!   I decided to play with these gorgeous sets from Penny Black and no regrets there, they stamped beautifully and with a little flash of silver it was done before I knew it!

You can see my video here or Watch it at Youtube.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to be sharing this series of Christmas cards and I look forward to you joining me in the fun.  I will warn you that not all the products I will be using are current, it’s kinda a budget thing, but really just a great way to use the stash.  But obviously anything can be switched out for whatever fabulous products that you already have around you, that’s part of the fun (cause you know that when you use it up, you have a right to buy some more…..  true!).

Other Supplies:  Penny Black Stamp set – Gleeful.  Cardstock – American Crafts glitter – Powder. Avery Elle  – Rectangle Dies, Mama Elephant Dies – Sew Easy, Bigshot, Martha Stewart – Crystal flakes (I don’t even know where I got these….  but had them on my ‘want to use’ list 4 ever!

  1. Therese,

I am new to your blog. I love this card series. I wish more people did this. Your talent is so inspiring. Thanks

  2. Beautiful Cards! This is such a great idea. I think I’m going to challenge myself with my overflowing stash and holiday stamps. Maybe make some matching tags too! Thanks for the Inspiration!! I can’t wait to see what you create next!

  3. Therese what a beautiful collection of cards. Just about to watch the first video. Cant wait to see them all. I love the colour choice, white silver and that beautifil green are just perfect. Is that reindeer a die cut? It looks so delicate. Anyway will have to wait and see. Brilliant

  4. Every one of your cards are gorgeous, Therese! I’m loving the color combo, and I really like how you’re stretching your stash…very clever!

  5. Hey its me again. I didnt realise you were going to show all, they are fantastic. And no not a die cut but acetate. I love how you have done this.

  6. Your last sentence? SO true!
Wonderful cards Therese. So pretty. I love how you’ve used outline stamps and glitter paper to create these CAS cards. Just a few materials, but so striking! I just might have to CASE these!

  7. Gorgeous set of cards. I plan to use older stamp sets myself this year – I have so many Christmas ones I am sure I can make do 🙂 Love the colour scheme you chose and (I’m guessing) cutting the stamped image free hand is a great effect. Will have to come back and watch the video. Ms E has invited friends over for dinner, the house looks like a bomb cause I have been sewing all day 🙂 !

  8. Same but oh so different! Loved seeing you create so many cards together like this. I can’t bear making several cards the same, and this seems to be just the answer! Thank you for showing how to come up with a theme, and take it from there. I have never seen anyone do that before – congratulations Therese!

  9. Therese your cards are wonderful. You are so correct…making cards in multiples does get boring….thanks for the great idea of making multiples different yet using essentially the same materials.

  10. You know that saying about ‘great minds’, Therese? This is my favorite way to create the many cards I send at Christmas! LOve your beauties, and the color? Also a favorite!

  11. I really love all of your gorgeous cards and am inspired. The soft blue glitter card is just perfect.

  12. I finally got to watch your video. Thanks. Great guest appearance 🙂
I have a parcel locker now so hubby never sees any new deliveries cause you know they always arrive when he is home 🙂

    1. haha, I would love a parcel locker, but with the money that my hubby spends on his hobbies he is never allowed to complain, because I am ‘neutrally geared’ lol. Have a great and crafty day hon. x

  13. I so enjoy your video’s, you mentioned twice in this video that were just having fun…we can tell, you always sound cheerfull, and inviting us in to have fun too!! Art should be fun, think a lot of crafters forget that in the process of making beautiful things…thanks again for teaching and including us in your “fun art”
