Video : Tic tac toe!

Today I’m playing with a new challenge on the block called Tic-Tac-Toe, it’s the brain child of Ka who is totally amazing, so why not head over and check it out… and maybe join in!  I’m using some Penny Black goodies to create a celebratory card, and yes, it’s clean & simple, go figure.

Challenge 1

I decided to film because I was playing with my new present, it’s a MISTI and now I don’t know how I lived without it lol.  Thanks so much Kara, I am having a blast!

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.

Can you tell?   I went with the diagonal tic-tac-toe, acetate / embossing / background stamping.

Trying to do a bit of catch up here after the festive season, is everyone else as ‘behind’ as I am?  Better get my skates on!  Hugs,

  1. Great card Therese, I never thought to use the cat stamp like that, so clever. Love this card and good to see you finally have the Misti. Its such a wonderful machine.

  2. A very fun card 🙂
I have so far controlled the urge to buy a misti – relying on my stamp press, blocks and stamping tool. After all there are so many other things on my list 🙂

  3. So glad you’re enjoying the MISTI, I knew you would! What a wonderful shaker card, it was so fun to watch you create it on the video! That cat is so cute with his balloons tied to his fingers!

  4. What a great background stamp for your balloons! Really fabulous coloring, and I enjoyed watching you play with your new Misti! Really cute card, Therese!

  5. Hi Teresa.
Love this card, I always seem to have problems with shakers, the sequins and beads stick to the edge around the shape, how do you avoid this?

    1. I don’t usually get too worried about the bits that stick to the edges, I think it’s all part of the fun. Some people even purposefully stick sequins around the back of the shaker so you can see some all the time, not just when you shake. There are a couple of tricks, I try not to put my adhesive too close to the edge when I’m adding my fun foam or another idea (especially when using foam tape) is to use a powder tool around the inner edge to remove the ‘stick’, I’ve done this too and it works well. Hope this is helpful, I think there is another way, but for the life of me I can’t remember it right now… I’ll let you know when I have my lightbulb moment lol. Hope you are having a great and hopefully crafty day, hugs and Happy New Year x

  6. This card made me smile-big time-and Therese I am sure looking forward to seeing you use your Misti.

  8. Love this bright and happy card, Therese! That little kitty is so cute, and I love the balloons you’ve created with that background stamp and shaker bits! And I’m so glad you got a MISTI. It’s one of my favorite tools, though I do reach for my blocks now and again. But I don’t think I could craft without it anymore!! Super card; absolutely love it!

Thank you for participating in the new Stamping Smiles Designs, Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. I enjoyed both your card and your video. Great tip with the two layers of acetate. I might have to add that background to my wish list. Super fun card!
