mmmmm Cake!

The challenge was to use Small Stamps at the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine, so out came these sweet cakes from Penny Black.

Which one would you eat?

  1. I’ve been following you for quite a long time and have never commented because I’m just not a commenter. Today, however, I HAD to say something. I’m so amazed at how talented you are, Therese, and very much appreciate the time you take to share your craft. I always look forward to your posts! Oh, as to which one of these sweets would I eat? All of them!!

  2. Super cute..I had a kind of idea to use the tiny cakes from the penny Black stamps too..they are so cute…
I would love to have a bite of the cupcake I think….

  3. LOVE, love, love it! The dog running away is soooo fun! By the way you were mentioned at our retreat – we were saying how wonderful it would be to have you there! A bit to far away, but let me know if you ever come to Melb!

  4. So ADORABLE, Therese! I love how you framed out all those yummy treats, and your pup ‘nosing’ the cupcake is hilarious! Thanks for making me smile…oh, and anything chocolate works for me 🙂

  5. Therese, this is phenomenal. would love to know a bit ore on how you created the shelves and frame. FANTASTIC – and BTW, I would like to try them all – LOL

  6. A fab card.
Thanks for reminding me/us to use the smaller stamps in our sets – they do often get over looked for the bigger prominent stamps.
I couldn’t choose one – I’d probably eat too many! 🙂 Gone are the days when I could eat a piece of everything on the dessert bar and still be a size 6.

  7. Thanks for this adorable card! Can you tell me how you made the frame? I ove how you used shading behind the cakes, and the paper piece to make it look like a shelf. Great job!

    1. The frame was easy to make, I simply cut two long pieces of cardstock the same width (it can be any size, whatever I want the window frame to be). Then I line up a vertical with a horizontal and make a mark with a pencil on the inside corner and outside corner of the horizontal and then I can cut it on the angle. I do this for each corner and simply add some glue to the part of the frame that will be underneath. Not sure if I’ve actually done a video, and I can’t find one… please let me know if I should add it to the list of ‘video’s to do’. Thanks so much for your visit today and for your lovely comments, Hugs Therese

  8. This is such a sweet card boom boom – but seriously the design is awesome and I love the little dog running away with his choice of treat. If it was me, I would choose the choc cake with the turquoise icing 🙂

  9. Yum, Therese … so fun and so cute … that cake toting little dog is fabulous! Which sweet treat … I’m partial to chocolate ones … so any of those would be scrumptious, thanks! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  10. I would choose all of them a bit greedy I know but they do look delicious even the dog thinks so. A fab,fun card beautifully stamped and coloured and soooooo neat 1

  11. Such an original concept superbly executed as usual! Love this card – if there is a cheesecake on a shelf, I would take that one!

  12. Yum, this make me think of the little pastry shops in France. I love that little naughty dog with the cupcake, my dog Nutella would do the same!
