I’m so excited to be taking part in Altenew’s 2016 March release and blog hop, if you arrived here from Anna Kossakovskaya’s blog you are exactly where you should be.  Today we will be releasing 2 4″x6″ stamp sets, 9 2″x3″ stamp sets, 21 dies, 6 papers, 12 inks, and a set of acrylic blocks.

My card today uses the butterfly image from Altenew’s Ori Kami stamp set and the exciting news is that now there are matching dies!

I decided to go for a watercolour look, firstly I stamped out and painted the butterflies, then I could easily die cut multiple butterflies from some stamp masking paper.  Then I masked off each image and painted my watercolour around them, I really like the little border that it leaves behind when the mask is taken away.
