I think it’s fairly obvious that I was inspired by the roses and that’s because I thought they were so beautiful.  I made my panel easily, but then it took me literally FOREVER (ie over a week) to decide what to do with it from there, so finally I made myself ‘make a decision’ and in came the gold and black, phew.

  1. Your panel is beautiful Therese – and I do love how you finished the card! The black and gold add something special to it:)

  2. Ohhh my goodness Therese I loooove your card, the colours, die cuts bits of gold glitter black everything. What a brilliant inspiration that is as is the inspiration photo for the challenge. Perfect

  3. Always love the addition of some gorgeous gold details so this is perfect. Had to laugh when you said how long it took you to make those final decisions – I know the feeling at times ha ha.

  4. Therese, you finally arrived at the perfect choice, and the end result is just beautiful 🙂 I have a card here on my desk, that has been sitting waiting patiently for the finishing touch – perhaps it should be a bit of black and gold too 🙂

    Thank you!!!

    1. When in doubt Janet, black and gold are currently my ‘go to’… actually they seem to have become my ‘be all’ lol. I’m sure they will work perfectly on your card too! Hugs and thanks so much for your wonderful comments and visits, I always look forward to them x

  5. Gorgeous background to this and it works so well with the black and gold – I need to take a leaf out of your book with this sort of thing, maybe then I would have less unfinished projects! Cx

  6. Black and gold…WOW! Such a striking idea, Therese! Your blooms are really gorgeous, and your soft pink background are a really beautiful take on the inspiration photo! LOVE this card so much!

  7. So glad I’m not the only one that leaves a project half finished. I find backgrounds so easy to create but often the layering and finishing touches are difficult for me.
Your final creation is amazing. The gold and black really accents the pink roses and I love the end result.
    Louise xo

  8. Absolutely STUNNING! as usual! I think it will get the scribble dies now, I have the stamps but have been tossing up with the dies. It was an absolute blast meeting you last week, can’t wait to do it again xx

  9. Love this look! From the background blending all of the way to the varying lengths of the feature strips down the side, you have achieved perfection. 🙂

  10. The gold and black were a perfect choice to pair with your gorgeous roses! That part always takes me the longest. This card is so beautiful, Therese!

  11. Just love those scribble dies …..the design on your card looks good enough to eat … love it gold word with the black x

  12. This beatiful background is the perfect start for a card. Love how you added the gold and black and as ever your layout is perfectly balanced!
