Video : Using Random Pieces – and now I have a card!

Do you have lots of bits and pieces of ‘cards’ lying around?  I do, and today I thought I would challenge myself to use them and here is what I created, and a quick video to show just how it came together.

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.

  1. OH my gracious … first I must tell you how much I LOVE your new look, Therese!!! Clean, crisp, bright and cheerful, too! Second: you do NOT want to see the scraps I save to use ‘sometime!’ This is a very darling little ‘snippet’ card … off to see the video – I always learn a thing or twelve from you! xx

  2. Hi Therese! Oh my gosh, I LOVE your new blog design! Your header is perfect ~ it’s so ‘You’, and I love the new width and font so much!
This is such a darling card! Your pink owl is adorable, and I love the whimsical trees! Love how you split the sentiment, too! Really fun…can’t wait to see your video 🙂

  3. I’ve been trying to do the same thing; use up those watercolored, stamped & colored, die-cut words & images, but they somehow seem to multiply when I’m not around! I love what you’ve done with your bits and bobs. Such a sweet pink owl, and those trees are amazing. Your sentiment applies to so many of my BFFs, lol!! What a great card!! Love it.

  4. Loving the new look Therese! And, yes, I do have lots of random bits and pieces – stamped pieces, die cuts, backgrounds etc., – an every so often, I do what you did and make a card with some of the pieces, they very often turn out to be some of my favourites! Love what you made of your ‘bits & pieces’, have a great week! Hazel xx

  9. Only you can put a card together with bits and pieces Therese and come out with such a great card–your creativity is amazing. I love the scene you created, your owl is adorable and your sentiments are always placed perfectly! You are such an inspiration, TFS!

  10. This is card is super cute! You always come up with something new. Great idea with the sentiment on the side.

I have lots of white fun foam and would love to send you some!!

    Have a great day/Gunilla

  11. This is so adorable and genius! I don’t know if I’d have ever put those elements together but they’re perfect!
Loving the new blog design too!

  12. Like you, I have bits and pieces not laying around but in a small container. And now–thanks to you—I will look at them more closely and actually use them. And your mum was right. Pinky owl fits very nicely on the smaller ‘tree’. However, it’s your idea to color part of a die that I think is brilliant!!!

  13. So cute and perfect! Yes, I have lots of bits and pieces lying around too, but haven’t yet managed to create anything with them that would inspire others – you are unique Therese!

  14. I love the subtle pink on the sentiment. Great touch. I have enough leftovers to make a mountain of cards – but I never use them!
