Video : A Die Cutting Extravaganza!

Today I have A LOT of die cutting and in the end a very clean and simple design, go figure!  I was inspired by this card here created by the incredible Melania Deasy and changed it up using some fab Penny Black products.

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.

  1. I love this Therese! It’s 39 here and I’m so over the winter. So pretty and dainty, definitely made me day dream of spring, lol. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

  2. beautiful card Therese – you enabled me to buy some of those Nuvo crystal drops from one of your previous cards – so now you’ve got me collecting them too!!

  3. Love your stunning cards, Therese! I’m with you on the Nuvo drops…one can never get enough, right? LOL…your secret’s safe with me! I always forget to fold my tape back like yours, make it so much easier to mount…why do I have to always make it hard on myself, right? Hugs!

  4. Love your card Therese. The colors you used together are fabulous. I chuckled with you when you said not to tell your husband about the Nuvo drops (your secret is safe with all of us, I’m sure!)….it’s always a good day when I can snag my orders out of the mail before my husband sees them and then I have some explaining to do. Haha!

  5. So much to love on this card Therese! Your colour choices are perfect, the sentiment die is just too cute and the flowers are exquisite! Loved watching this come together!

  6. Hello Therese: I don’t know if you remember me but I’m part of the DT from The Flower Challenge and you are our Guest Designer for this month.
Your card is gorgeous and one of the things that caught my eye on your card for this challege were the Nuvo Jewel Drops Translucent. I just fell in love with this beautiful embellishments so, as is always the case for me when I LOVE something, I went after them.
Thanks to my dear friend Aileen, I was able to find them here in the USA and now, just like you, I’m totally addicted to them. I just got my first shipment yesterday of 5 of the colors, the other ones were on back order but I will get them as soon as they are available.
On this amazing video you made today, you had this little jewels on a piece of paper already dried and ready to go, I was wondering if you could tell me what kind of paper you used to let them dry, I was thinking of laying them on a piece of parchment paper but I don’t know if they will stick to it.
Anyway, forgive me for this long comment, I love this beautiful card you made, this little die cut flowers are simple adorable.
Ok, I wont tell your husband about your addiction to this Jewel Drops if you don’t tell mine, ok? 😉
Thank you again for this wonderful video.
    Big Hugs,
    Maria Rodriguez.

    1. Hi Maria,
The Nuvo secret is ours to share lol. To premake my dots I usually use what some crafter’s call ‘release’ paper, it’s basically the white non stick sheet that I’ve already pulled foam squares, enamel dots washi sheets, the backing off my adhesive magnetic sheets…. anything like that. I’ve tried them on acetate and that works too, but the dots seem not to sit as high on these and I can’t tell you why. Hope this helps, thanks so much for your lovely comment and I am so happy to inspire, those Nuvo’s are fab! Crafty Hugs, Therese

  7. Those die cut flowers are quite delicate and look beautiful in your chosen colors, Therese. Those pre-made Nuvo drops remind me of candy you used to buy on strips like that.

  8. Beautiful card! I love the black foam behind – it adds just the right amount of shadow behind your sentiment. I haven’t tried the Nuvo drops yet but I imagine it’s a product that you can never have too much of!

  9. Fabulous card, I love the sentiment handling…so fresh and totally ready for the northern hemisphere spring.

  10. Love this card, Therese! I’ve got to pin it! I love the placement and color of the flowers around that wonderful phrase die cut! Nuvo drops are always justified in my mind when I compare them to buying pre-made enamel dots. It’s also a much cheaper collection than, say, Faberge eggs – Ha!

  11. Another fabulous card, Therese. Those die cuts are so sweet, and that die cut sentiment is seriously fun! Thanks for the hint of Spring in all those pretty colors, too. Haven’t bought any Nuvo drops yet… but after seeing them here, it might magically appear in my shopping cart soon, lol. Love this card. Thanks for another great video!!

  12. I love watching you ‘fiddle’ with your placements and it is amazing when it just ‘comes together’! I did not think I would want those flower dies but watching you build and arrange has changed my mind. 🙂 LOVE your basket of Nuvo!!! I have started my ‘collection’ with the transparents! Needless to say…love the card…appreciate the inspiration!

  13. This is just beautiful Therese, the black foam helps with that shadow effect in the die cut aperture and I love the colourful flowers 🙂

  14. Just lovely Therese! Simple, yet so pretty. I love the look of those translucent Nuvo dots…I haven’t got any, but you might be persuading me….

  15. This is such a pretty card, Therese! I love your choice of flowers and the font on this sentiment is really fun! Thank you so much for another great video 🙂
