This week is MASSIVE, it’s Altenew’s 3rd Anniversary and you already know that they know how to celebrate in style as well as give you the opportunity to WIN too, but more about that later.

Today it’s time for the Card Design Team to hop and we are so lucky to be joined by some incredibly talented papercrafters, you should have arrived here from Jennifer McGuires blog, and she never fails to inspire! (scroll down for the full hop list)

Here are some of my Altenew faves….

So…  In keeping with the party atmosphere I thought it would be fun to create a fun set of cards using some of the mini stamp sets from Altenew, and these Fair themed images seemed perfect!

Altenew - Carousel - Ferris Wheel - Celebrate - Lostinpaper (card) 1 copy

I used the Splash of Color set to create a bright background for the Carousel and Ferris Wheel images.

Altenew - Carousel - Ferris Wheel - Celebrate - Lostinpaper (card) 1 copy

The background here was ink blended through the Halftone Stencil and the sentiment was die cut with the Inline Alpha die set.

Here I stamped a Carousel background and heat embossed the sentiment from the Celebrate Stamp Set.

and finally a more graphic style design using some cardstock from the New Day Card Kit with the Carousel and Ferris Wheel images.  Scroll down for the video link.

  12. What fun, happy cards!! Love that color splash background especially. Thanks for sharing.

  13. They are all so much fun, but I would not have known how much work it was to do the “graphic” card if I hadn’t seen it on the video. I wonder if heating to release the tape will work with paper. I just saw that tip this morning, but the idea had more to do with removing labels and using the heat tool to loosen the glue a bit. Hmmmm….I sense an experiment coming up. (After I finish this marvelous hop, of course.)

  14. Such fun! I love the splashes of color behind the images on the first cards. And, the video is great, too.

  15. Great cards! I love the Halftone stencil and anxiously awaiting for it to be back in stock again.
