Video : Colour with ‘U’ – Using a Coloured Image!

Today I am back to Colour with ‘U’ and it’s all about watercolouring with a ‘coloured’ image.  My ‘go to’ stamping colour for outlines is black and today I thought I would have some fun changing it up a little.   I have filmed the card today and

These ballerinas are so sweet, and I know it’s a bit cliche, but I just had to colour them in pink (just to get it out of my system…   next time I’ll try different colours, I promise)

  1. I HAD TO come by here as well, Therese … I just knew you’d have excellent photos to gaze adoringly at these two little imps … I know I’m repeating myself, but cannot help to say “tutu cute!!!’
    =]

  2. Absolutely adorable…those tiny ballerinas look like they are too busy chatting…so cute..and no black ink/colour on the card at all…I want to try that too…!!

  3. Love this card…reminds me of when our daughter took dance as a little girl…

I’m working on improving my coloring skills, especially with watercolors. I do okay with my Copics, but want to expand my horizons. I’ve been using Mixed Media Vellum Surface cardstock….I think the brand is Strathmore…and I love it. It’s heavy and takes watercolors and lots of water very well, but the surface is smooth like vellum. I like the smoothness since I do like my stamped images to be crisp and if I’m blending colors for the background, there seems to be better results for me…I don’t like the heavy swirl marks that sometimes happen.

Loved watching you create your card….thanks for sharing your talent.

  4. This card couldn’t be cuter, Therese. It’s soooo adorable! Love it, love the image and love your coloring!

  5. I am so inlove with this card and that little bit of painting.. My granddaughter totally loves it and has asked me to make one for each of her friends, big order from a four year old. Perfect in the pink ink too.

  6. Its so funny, when I saw this card I didn’t even realise it was stamped in a different colour until I read the blog post. The colour suits it so perfectly that it didn’t jump out at me at all. Must give this a go!!
