Video : Remember Paper Piecing?

Back with an oldie but a goodie, it’s time to paper piece and this little hippo from Gerda Steiner, a newly added stamp line at Scrapbook Boutique (YaY!) couldn’t resist a Lawn Fawn Plaid Rainbow super hero outfit…  or was it me that couldn’t resist lol, just let me know if you think this is cruelty to animals, or do you think he looks happy in his little outfit?  Anyhow, there is a video of the process

You can see it here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.

  1. Your plaid-clad hippo super hero is too cute (and I never thought I’d ever use those words in the same sentence 😂)

  2. Love that you chose that sweet plaid for your paper piecing and the Action Wobble is the perfect touch! I also love how the stars fade off in the background! Awesome card, Therese!

  3. oh very cute! You have a great imagination Therese – love your colour combos. Had to laugh at your comment re your “card budget”. Too many fabulous products and not enough time to use them.

  4. Definitely not cruelty to animals – this guy is ridiculously adorable!!! Why have there never been a superhero in plaid before??

  5. Oh my goodness. Super hippo is absolutely adorable. What a super card. Very nicely done.

  6. He is very cute in plaid. Card budget? there is such a thing, but I constantly go over mine! now I am recently unemployed (hoping not for too long) it will have to stretch further.

  7. Therese, he is adorable! 😊 I love the wobbler on his face and his costume is ridiculously cute. I could also see him in a pair of budgie smugglers with his goggles and a towel for his cape. ☺ See you!

  8. Gah! He is ADORABLE. I don’t go much for super heroes. But a super hero in plaid? Sign me up! 🙂 I just love watching your videos. They make me smile. Thank you.

  9. So cute…my first thought was mini wobblers when I saw your finished card….and that’s exactly what you used….great minds. LOL I adore paper piecing and it’s a technique that has never gotten boring with me….so much fun to do….reminds me of paper dolls when I was a little girl.

  10. Hi Therese, your Super Hero is super cute! I loved the purple version of the hippo….maybe you can use it on a different card. The words “card” and “budget” should never be used in the same sentence. Words to live by! Heehee.
