I am so excited to be here today celebrating Altenew’s newest release with Cake…. Cake Love that is! This focus post features the Cake Love stamp set and that means 3 cards for inspiration and one video too… just scroll a little further for that one.
My first card (and probably my fave) was created with the Bold Alphabet dies and some sweet design paper from the New Day Card Kit.
I also used the Altenew Shimmer Ink Sprays for a quick spritzy background and the new Pure White Embossing Powder for the sentiment.
My second card was also clean & simple, I embossed my images with the Antique Gold embossing powder before I watercoloured them with some Gansai Tambi paints.
The Pale Gray cardstock helped to lift the front hand gold dotted panel. The flowers are from the Beautiful Day stamp set and I grounded the image with a stamp from the Watercolor Frames stamp set.
For my final card I stamped a ‘Two-Tone’ Halftone Heart in the background and coloured the image with Altenew’s Artist Markers, then it was really easy to use the coordinating die to cut it out.
I decided that a sentiment from the Layered Cupcakes set would suit as well as some ‘sparklers’ created from the Wood Pallet Background stamp set. I have a video showing how this card came together,

Love these kind of doodling style stamps from Altenew! The coffee set I have is one of my favorite stamps. What you did with these sweet tarts and cupcakes is so lovely! The first one with the bold sentiment is my favorite but I love them all!!
Well Therese, I wish you would have showed us how you fussy cut this sparklers because you did a marvelous job doing it!!!
