And then I got onto the Christmas Stockings…  and I couldn’t stop lol.  So there are two cards today (and even more tomorrow)!

Altenew - Christmas Stockings - Festive Poinsettia - Holiday Script Words - Therese Calvird (card) 1 copy

The sentiment for this card comes from Holiday Script Words and the new stamp set Festive Poinsettia.  Which is the focus for my final card and video.

Altenew - Festive Poinsettia - Starry Night - Therese Calvird (card video) 1 copy

Doncha just love this sentiment from the Starry Night Stamp Set!

  12. I love all the colors that poinsettias come in nowadays. The green ones you colored are gorgeous – I haven’t quite figured out how to color “white” yet. 🙂 Love the release, Altenew!

  13. Super cute cards. I love those poinsettias, however.
So pretty. I always try to buy a red, pink & white one
each year, but it’s not easy to find all three colors.

  14. Beautiful cards! I would have to say that my favorite one is the Poinsettia card! I really love the colors you chose for them! I like how you didn’t do the traditional red color for them!

  15. Perfectly simple and poignant cards! Just love them. The poinsettia card is my favorite and love that you used green instead of the traditional red or pink! Fabulous job. Thanks for the chance to win.

  16. Beautiful cards. Love the poinsettia as a favorite, though I gasped a little when I saw the neon green embossing powder! You made it work beautifully, however!

  17. I love this background die! The pattern and texture are so fun! The stocking are adorable with all the different patterns you can stamp. Your poinsettia is lovely!

  18. You have simply outdone yourself here Therese! Wow. Fabulous cards and what an awesome release. Cannot wait for my order to arrive. I might actually get some cards done early! lol That would
be a pleasant surprise for everyone. Keep the ideas coming, we love them. Tx

  19. Hi there. Where in Australia do you live that you get green poinsettias? Never seen that before, and I have never heard of flower soft before. Is it like an embossing powder? But your cards are truly beautiful and once I stopped freaking out over the flouro green outline, I saw that it looked absolutely amazing and was my favourite card. Thanks for the inspiration.😘

    1. I live near the Gold Coast so Poinsettias grow beautifully here and I have a few in my garden. There are heaps of different colours, white, pink, salmon… maybe I might colour a salmon one next! As for Flower Soft it is a product that has been around for years and can be sprinkled on wet glue so it kind of look like flowers (hence the name) Here’s a link https://www.card-making-magic.com/flowersoft.html I only have the red and the white (which I use for snow sometimes), but maybe some yellow would be handy for flower centres…. Thanks so much for your lovely comments and for visiting, Crafty hugs, Therese

  20. I never would have thought to use fluorescent green embossing for this, but you totally made it work! I’m amazed, because I was very skeptical when you first started. But it’s incredible how realistic this looks! And the stockings are quite darling. I can see how you could get into a groove with them! Thanks for sharing with us!

  24. I wasn’t sure about the flourescent Embossing Powder, but you pulled it off in the end. Gold would be really pretty too. Great look with the dimensional frame.

  34. Cards that can be for the north or southern Hemispheres. Hooray. These cards are fantastic and love the poinsettia card.

    1. Hiya, I was wondering if you saw my ‘Same but Different Christmas Cards Series’ from 2017. I had many designs which weren’t snow / cold related. I am not sure which style you like so here are some links
      https://bit.ly/2p5z4St
      https://bit.ly/2Om6jff
      https://bit.ly/2OmYrdB
and the rest of the videos will be linked in my playlist at YouTube. I know you are not on your own with the snowy scene Christmas cards so it’s nice to have some other options. I decided years ago that some stamps and scenes were just too cute and in the end I caved and just go with it now lol. Thanks so much for your lovely visit, Crafty hugs, Therese

  35. Thanks for sharing your beautiful creations and video. I often forget that Poinsettias are not always red. I love that you use fluorescent green for heat embossing the outline. How brilliant!

  36. Absolutely fabulous release! Love the cover plate and poinsettia! Your cards are fabulous Therese! Thanks for the inspiration!

  37. Gorgeous cards! The green Poinsettia is especially amazing but I’m more likely to make the Bow card….quick and pretty! Thanks for showing ideas for all levels of cardmakers.

  38. Beautiful cards. These blog hops are so helpful — when I first looked at the items in the release, I hardly noticed the Cozy Flannel Cover Die. After seeing your first card, I now know I NEED it!

  40. Wanted to thank you so much for the comment you left about my ‘flower whale’ card, I really appreciate it and I’m so glad I finally got that image, as so many people haven’t seen it before and have fallen in love with it!! Your Altenew New Release cards are gorgeous as always, had to PIN that first card with the turquoise die-cutting and red bow…..its an amazing colour combo, not one I’ve thought of before but might have to borrow that idea for some of my own Xmas cards…..Mwah!!

  41. Hi Therese, WOW. Such BEAUTY!!! Love ALL of your cards, I think the first one is my favorite, It blew me away, it was so GORGEOUS!!!!!
