Video : Colour With ‘U’ – Inktense on Neenah?

Today I thought I would try something new to me and share it with you!  Neenah is a relatively new product to me and I have to say that I do like it but I still haven’t pushed the boundaries so today became Inktense.

This is a new to me company called Picket Fence Studios and they certainly have some fun designs and sentiments and I couldn’t resist this stamp set called Sweet Dear Friend.

All else will be enlightened in the video linked below.

  1. Loved the video and discussion about Inktense. You hold your pencils pretty high up (or I hold mine really low!) and I wondered if that was to give a lighter touch. I’ll try it – maybe it will help my shabby skills.

Suggestion: mention in videos that the Neenah is the Classic Crest line, since a lower quality called Exact Index is sold in office supply stores – at least in the U.S. – and crafters sometimes think that’s the right Neenah, and are disappointed.

    1. Thanks for the details about the Neenah Classic Crest Line, it is only new to me as it has been difficult to buy in Australia and I wasn’t aware there were other versions. Thanks also for your lovely comments and for visiting me at my blog, Crafty hugs Therese

  2. Hello Therese: What a sweet, adorable and gorgeous card, love the sketchy look of this little girls and the way you colored them is amazing.
I read all the other sentiments on this set and they are indeed, hilarious.
I’m astonished at how well the Ninah Solar White card stock took the water on this card, I know you didn’t soak the paper but still, there was no peeling at all and that is awesome.
I think I’m going to give this a try, I really love the loose watercolor look on this images.
Thank you so much for sharing.
    XO
    Maria.

  3. This is just so cute!! My LSS has just started carrying Neenah – I’m so excited – you know how hard it is to get outside of the US!

    1. Yes, I hear you and it’s a great cardstock, I love that it comes in 110 and 80lb and the ‘colour’ white is the same. Hope you like it too! Crafty hugs, Therese

  4. This card is so pretty! I haven’t tried using my Inktense pencils on Neenah cardstock yet. After watching your video I might have to give it a go!

  5. I love how you colored these sweet, dainty girls. Thanks so much for the tutorial. I like hearing about Neenah cardstock from you also.

  6. Those little girls are darling and the sentiment is perfect for them. I generally use my Inktense pencils brush to pencil since I didn’t like the results coloring the paper first. Maybe it’s my paper but I’m happy doing it my way.

  7. Great video, learnt lots off you about them inktense pencils, thank you as was trying to decide on do I or don’t i but a small set as no.one I know has them. All your information was greatfully recieved. Don’t know if Crafter’s Companions website is expensive or available in Australia but they sell small packs of Neenah crest & dessert storm but you would have to check their shipping costs. Thanks Therese. Sending paper hugs x

  8. So good to see how you like the Inktense on Neenah. I have some Neenah and I find I don’t often reach for it except the 110# to make a card base from time to time. Your design with the three images is a pure delight! I love those darling girls! Bev (Happy Dance) has them and I got to ink up a few during our lake house stay! Now I just need time to play!
