Have you seen the new release from Ellen Hutson? today I am using a new stamp set created by Julie Ebersole calledSnow Days!
These sets so much fun to use that I made two cards today, starting with that irresistible ‘Pop-Up Mittens’ die set.
I kept everything clean and simple and stamped a Rockin’ Red background on the Desert Storm and recessed it behind the mitten.
I decided to film the next card just so you could see these fun new products in action. This time I added a two tone Classic Block Alpha Die cut sentiment and a snowflake from the Pop-Up Mittens die set.
Both cards got a little rustic Twine Bow.

Lovely CAS cards!!
I love the red and white “JOY”. It really added just the right amount of color to this card.
Very beautiful rustic Christmas card, Therese ! Love this little stamp, it makes gorgeous “knitted” backgrounds. Love your CAS designs and the traditional Christmas colours. Nice Christmas music too at the beginning of your video which makes a lovely contrast with the birdsongs (tropical ?) we can hear while you are explaining ;-)) ! Hello Therese: I just love the look of white ink on Kraft paper, it’s a very warm and welcoming combination.
This card is just that, warm and welcoming, beautiful too, the pop of red from the sentiment really stands out and, of course, that snowflake is truly stunning.
I wanted to ask you a question about fun foam…..I love the look of it on my cards but, when I die cut it, it always flattens up quite a bit, I was wondering if you encounter the same problem and, if you do, can you share what you do about it?

Hi Maria, I haven’t particularly had a problem with the fun foam flattening out, but do find that if I adhere the die cut cardstock to the foam before I pull it out of the main sheet of foam this does help stop some of the stretching. I was wondering if it’s my old Bigshot, and the fact that it may not ‘squish’ the die cuts as much… I have used my Gemini Junior and found that it’s ‘fine’ but not as good as my Bigshot. Sometimes after I have die cut the fun foam, I let it rest for a few minutes before adding the die cut cardstock and I don’t know that this helps but it feels like it does. And I think some dies are thicker so I think they may ‘squish’ it more too. If possible maybe you could try a different brand of fun foam… and sometimes if all else fails I just cut the edges of the fun foam off from the die cut (but usually that’s because I have adhered it crooked lol. Dear Therese: Thank you so much for your fabulous advise, I’m going to try the tips you gave me next time I use my fun foam. I purchase it from my local craft store, in the children’s section so it’s not to thick and that might be the problem. I like the one you use from Helen Hutson, so I’m going to give this one a try, I’m sure I will get better results with it.

Love this clean and simple card! That little pattern definitely looks knitted to me. Awesome for making the little mittens look handmade – like the ones my mom knits! Super cute!
