Timeless – Penny Black Release Blog Hop & Giveaway + Video!

My video today shares how to Easily Watercolour with Distress Inks and what better stamps to illustrate this technique than some from the new Timeless Release at Penny Black.

It’s a ‘Party with Penny’ and we are hopping along to celebrate! You should have arrived here from JUDY’s amazing Blog, but if you missed it and want to start the hop from the beginning you can go to the Penny Black Blog for a complete list of all of the blog hop participants.

I have two cards to share with you today starting with a very CAS design using a Copic coloured vase of flowers From the Garden.

Lostinpaper - Penny Black - From the Garden (card) 1

The sentiment is from my new fave set called Good Wishes and I did have to add a subtle Squares Frames die cut as a border.

I have a video to share, showing how this next card came together, and this time I have used some sweet critters from the Special Friends Stamp Set.

Lostinpaper - Penny Black - Special Friends (card video) 1

I stamped them and created a background panel (scroll a little more for the video).

  15. I love the black and white vase with the bright, beautiful flowers and how they pop with all the white space, Therese! Adding the frame adds wonderful texture without taking the eye away from the flowers! I love the soft coloring of all those sweet critters! Two wonderful cards showing off this new release!

  16. Love the clean look of the first card. LOL, I commented on a previous site that I liked a no white space look. Here I love the look of the white space.

  17. I love everything about these cards from the watercolor shading to the sentiment.
I want to get better doing these techniques.

  18. This reminds me of a children’s storybook, Therese. It’s so cute and softly watercolored. What Bristol do you use that’s bright white? Mine is a cream color and I haven’t been able to find a pure white one.

    1. Hi Bobby, I’ve been using the Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface 300 Series (20 A4 sheets), it’s the one with the yellow cover – I have it linked in most of my watercolor posts lol. I think it’s bright white but it’s definitely not as bright as the Neenah Solar White, but if you don’t hold them up together then it looks white. Although I have found that photography can bring out a creamish look. Is this the one that you have? Hope you have a fab fab day my friend x
