Today I share a simple Watercolor Brush Marker technique to add some quick colour. I am using the new gorgeous set from Altenew which is called Tropical Fiesta and it feels like a party here! If you are hopping along you should have arrived here from LISA’s amazing Blog!
Today I thought it would be fun to create my own watercolour Wild Rose die cut layered flowers.
I have added a background using the Essentials Black & White Paper Pack, I am a little addicted to this paper…..
and a sentiment from the Trendy Circles Stamp Set.

I beginning to really love that black and white blackground too! I need to try that now.
You always do bright and beautiful die cut flowers and these are no exception! They look great on the black and white paper. That is a very cute font on the sentiment too.

The colours of these new watercolour brushes are so appealing to me. Makes me long to be on an island in the Caribbean. Ah well… I’m on a beautiful island, but much further north. lol I’ve looked at layering die sets without the stamps & wondered what I’d do with them, but I sure like what you created with them by painting the paper first, then cutting & layering. The Wils Roses look great in those colors, and it POPs on the B&W paper! Couldn`t get your video to load for some reason, so will try again later to watch it.
Love the bright flowers on the black and white striped paper. I have a thing about black and white patterned paper, especially stripes. My problem with the paper is I get it and then don’t want to use it as then it will be gone! The new colors in the Tropicsl Fiesta set are wonderful!

Thanks so much for sharing this technique. I have the Layered Floral Elements set and, while I love it, I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to match card stock colors. I don’t have watercolor markers (but I may have to get this new Tropical Fiesta set), but I think I’ll try it with my Tombow markers.

I just love my Altenew 3D flower die cuts – and creating them out of the watercolor paper with these markers is a brilliant idea. The flowers look so unique – it’s hard to believe they came from the same dies. Love the black and white texture in the background too. Such a happy card!
