How to Use the New Fadeout Ink with Pencils + Video!

Today it’s time to test my Prismacolor Pencils with the Ink On 3 Fadeout ink using the new Ellen Hutson release by Brandi called Backyard Party Stamp Set. I thought this cute little bunny critter was the perfect colouring choice.

What do I think?  I love that I can actually see the ink while I am colouring, but it’s like magic…  when I colour over it… it’s gone!

Speaking of magic, the sentiment from todays card comes from the Unicorns ‘N Rainbows Stamp Set…  classic!

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

I hope you are inspired to try some no line colouring using your pencils! Thanks so much for your visit here today.  Crafty hugs,

  1. What an absolutely adorable card! SO incredibly cute. On the clouds … hmmmm. I liked the card before the clouds and I like the clouds. I wonder if the clouds were extended up more if that might work better. I love to color with my pencils and so I really enjoy watching you color with your’s!!! I learn some tips and tricks and so appreciate that. Thank you for the video and for sharing your super cute card.

  2. What a cute card. I think if the clouds were extended a bit higher and the balloon brought down a bit.
Love your videos – always look forward to them.

  3. Beautiful card! Love the CAS look and its good to watch you color 🙂 I guess I like the card without the clouds, or maybe the clouds a little more higher than behind the rabbit.. I’m not sure though..

  4. Such a cute card, loving this new stamp set. Give me anything with a rabbit and I’m in! I like it with the clouds. I love watching you color with whatever medium you are using. Needless to say I’m mesmerized by all that you do. I enjoy each and every card and video that you share. You give me the spark to try and practice more – you are so talented and I thank you for sharing that with us all!

  5. What a cute card, and I do like the clouds. I never thought to use the Fade-Out ink with pencils, but I love the results I see on your video. I’m going to try this!

  6. Yes Cute Cute Cute Therese. Love how that cute rabbit is jumping off the stump and hasn’t quite caught the balloon. I like the hand drawn clouds and maybe a little higher like the others said. I had never heard of the fade out ink till now so thanks for sharing. Hope you have a good LONG week end.

  7. Love, love the clouds, a blank sky is like if it was all gray like it is right now up here in the USA’s Midwest.
Your little bunny is so adorable and I’m liking the no line ink, it’s out of stock now but I put in a request to be notified when it’s back on stock.
I love how you made the clouds, I usually just sponge some blue ink and leave some white spaces but your Prismacolor clouds look amazing.
Thank you for the video Therese and for sharing with us this new product, I hope it comes back in stock soon.
    Sending hugs.
    Maria.

  8. Clouds or no clouds – I don’t know. What really catches my eye is that balloon – it looks so lovely and shiny, and the stump is terrific too. Love how with the pencils you can add the grass over the stump

  9. Thanks for sharing the information about the ink, Therese…I hadn’t seen it used before and it does look a useful thing to have on hand…re the clouds, lovely! Without the clouds, lovely! X

  10. Your card is darling, Therese. I haven’t really tried no-line coloring. I’m afraid of it a little but now that I have Gamsol I may try it with my PolyChromos. You make it look so easy.

  11. I haven’t used gamsol. Does it go through the paper or does it just evaporate like a solvent?

    1. HI Christine, it’s the same as White Odourless Mineral Spirit, so it doesn’t show through the cardstock. I think Gamsol is a ‘brand’ name, although the bottle with the dauber top is great and saves so much time. Hope this is helpful, Crafty hugs, Therese

  12. Maybe the clouds should be higher but hey every card you make is adorable

  13. I’ve been away for a few days… so glad this little dude didn’t hop off before I catch him! [hope he had as much luck with his balloon!] Off I hop… xx

  14. I love the card just the way it is. More clouds would have been too much. Perfect!

  15. Oh, how adorable! I love the clouds and your beautiful coloring! Thank you for another great video.

  16. This is so simple yet so gorgeous Therese and I definitely need to try using some Gamsol I think. I wouldn’t even know where to start with doing my own clouds, they look amazing. Your so clever and we are very lucky you share your talent and tips with us all!
