Altenew Build-A-Flower: Hellebore Release Blog Hop & Giveaway + Video!

It’s time for the next Build-A-Flower release from Altenew and this one is the wonderful Hellebore.  We are hopping along to celebrate the release so you should have arrived here from the Altenew Card Blog!

But first I have some fabulous news, I am teaching 2 classes on October 2nd at Auzz Trinklet’s ‘N Crafts in Brisbane and what makes this even more exciting is that the kit includes an unreleased stamp set from Altenew (sssh don’t tell lol).  And there is more, Neha, the first Australian certified Altenew Instructor will be teaching with me!  You can find out all the details HERE, I would LOVE it if you came along!

Now for my production line stamping…  and what to do with the Build-A-Flower Hellebore ‘left over’ flowers, well, true to my promise to myself this year I have put them straight onto a card and here it is.

Altenew BAF Hellebore - Fine Frames Rectangle - Therese Calvird (card video) 1 copy

I used some design paper from the Celebrations Paper Pack in the background and the Fancy Hello Die was added to some Fine Frames border for my sentiment.

I have a video sharing the process of my second card and you can find the link below.

This time I created a frame with some Woodgrain Powder Cardstock.

And I added a sentiment in Gold Foil Cardstock from the Signature Words Die Set, I was obviously in a ‘hello’ kinda mood today.

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

  2. Love your cards Therese, beautiful framing and Hello to you. Had loved to come to your classes but a bit far to go 🙁 hihi x

  3. Wishing you so much fun with your classes!! Would love to visit Australia one day but for now a bit too far to travel for a class (live in Arizona). Love that background paper!! All the best!

  4. Lovely cards Therese. Beautiful colours. The plants in my garden are just the usual purple and white, but I love them as they are one of the first flowers to appear in Spring. Thank you for your amazing video. Always look forward to watching and learning. Double bonus, we have Lydia on television today today. Can it get any better?

  5. Wow! I love your cards and these flowers are gorgeous! The frame and the patterned paper were a really nice touch on your first card- the flowers really pop!

  6. Oh those lucky people in Brisbane! Wish I was there to attend! We had an extended trip (from Canada) to Auzz in 1991 with our two daughters. We love Brisbane.
I also love to see what lovely arrangement you will design each month with the BAF sets. You never disappoint! Beautiful….

  7. Love these “tropical” hellebores in the beautiful bright colors on your gorgeous cards.. The ones in my garden are purple and a white one with wine colored veining, but beautiful too! They show up first in early, early spring and are a welcome sight. I think I might have to have this set! 🙂 I think your classes are probably fun like your videos and I wish I could take one!

  8. If only I wasn’t 1/2 way around the world from you–I’d be at your classes, Therese! What beautiful cards using this lovely new set–thanks for the video!

  9. Beautiful hellebore flowers, love your tropical color combo, I’ve only had the soft white/lilac color ones but they are all so pretty. Love your backgrounds for these gorgeous blooms too. Congrats and good wishes for your local classes, it’s always fun to get crafty with a group!

  10. So beautiful. The colors are very attractive and I like the way you used the square frame for the flowers and Hello. Very nice!

  11. Gorgeous Hellebores! I love the bright, vibrant flowers against the soft backgrounds. Such pretty designs!!

  12. what a beautiful new BAF and your cards are both just so gorgeous, Therese! Sure wish I could come from Colorado to Brisbane to take your class. It would be so much fun to meet you!!

  13. Your cards are gorgeous! I love this new BAF — my introduction to the beautiful Hellebore. Your colors and layouts are wonderful.

  14. [Sigh.] I have sooo many Altenew flower sets, but how can I skip this one….it’s so beautiful! I have to find your other card, Therese, because I think I like it even better than this one…which is gorgeous!

  15. dear Therese
Your creations are always a treat and this is no exception. I am taking some ideas from you for my cards such as layering and also the use of frames.love and hugs

  16. Both beautiful cards. The colours are lovely. The second card doesn’t look like a “leftover” card – it just as great as the first one. I will see you in Brisbane, very exciting!

  17. delightful Therese. Love the both colours of flowers. And both designs on your cards. Wish I lived in Auss so I could come to your and Neha class.

  18. Thanks for sharing the use of ALL the layers so I can see the different details in each. Also great to hear about the lettering system on the guide! Your card is lovely as usual. 😊

  19. This is such a pretty card. I have helebores in my garden. They make me happy because her in New England, they are one of the first to bloom.

  20. Love both cards, as always you make lovely cards with great designs, I also love this ‘make a flower’ set I might just have to add it it to my wish list.

  21. I really like both of your cards, particularly the second one Therese. I have a Hellebore, also known as the Christmas Rose, in my garden. I love the pale delicate edged coloured flower against the large dark leaves.

  22. Love both the cards and your colours today made me very happy.
The stamp set looks amazing but then all the Altenew flower sets are so beautiful.
I’m so excited for both yourself and Neha for having this event.
Wish I could do a class with you one day.
    Cheers
    Lisa

  23. Love your cards, Therese; and I’d love to come to your class as well. It’s just up the road from me. I’m off to check out Neha’s site. I can’t think of a nicer way to spend a day, than to be taught by two such lovely women as you and Neha. 🙂
