Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas – Let’s Sing Carols + Video!

We are still singing Carols for the Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas…  and can you tell what I’m singing?

I used the Penny Black Snowflake Tag to create a ‘shaped’ glittery tag.

And some alcohol inks on Yupo to make my multicoloured snowflake and you can watch the process in the video below.

I also added some two tone sentiments from the Mountain Holiday and the Small Sayings Stamp Set.

  1. Love your tags Therese. Might keep this in mind for next year. I have everything done for this year’s gifts. I’m off to watch your video now.

  2. Gorgeous snowflake for your beautiful tag! Love the colors and textures! Awesome die… gotta check that out!

  3. Very pretty tag! I love the colors and the glittery background. You are so brave to use glitter! I love the look, but I am so hesitant to use it because it makes it’s way throughout my entire house. Your beautiful tag is well worth the risk, though!

  4. Therese, I wasn’t very sure I liked the colours on the Yupo Paper. I didn’t think it was you. BUT “Voila!”. Fancy me doubting you, the outcome was a fabulous Snowflake Tag. Thank you for sharing. … Glenis (NSW)

  5. So sparkly and elegant snowflake tag, love the glitter background and the soft and pretty purples of the snowflake. I would not have guessed these purples came from the pink and turquoise alcohol inks! Thanks for another awesome video tutorial.

  6. Oh Therese, you make me want to pull out the alcohol inks! The glitter – not so much! You are right, it’s not for the faint of heart, but it sure looks beautiful!

  7. I saw the ❄ snowflake at the start of the video and could not figure out when you started with the alcohol how you did it but you make it work! I enjoyed the video but I need to watch it with the volume on–I was volunteering at my son’s elementary school when I saw it (I was at the copier for three house making packets for third graders on the moon, sun, and other nature studies) so next pass needs to be volume on to hear your sweet voice!
This is a beautiful snow❄flake! Really love it, you might say it is SNOW-lovely!!!!

  8. Hi there Therese: I’ve been a bit busy and that’s the reason for this late comment.
I love your snowflake and the background you created for it, but what I love most is the beautiful shimmer from the glitter, I think it’s just so lovely.
I know glitter can be a bit…shall we say….unruly? but it also looks amazing so I think it’s worth it.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Hugs.

  9. The tag reminds me of a cookie! So seriously yummy and beautiful. The alcohol inks are so pretty.
