How to Make 2 Same But Different Floral Watercolor Cards + Video!

Today I wanted to watercolour and this time I decided to try it with 2 different watercolor mediums from Altenew. This is part of a stamp focus for Altenew using the new Exotic Garden Stamp Set.

To create a similar but different look using the same Exotic Garden Stamp Set I embossed the first image in white and the second I stamped in Obsidian Pigment Ink.

Here I used the Watercolor Brush Markers to add colour and the intensity of these is incredible,

Altenew - Exotic Garden - Hello and Hugs - Take 2 With Therese (card video) 1and I think they are very easy to use!  The window was die cut with the Create-A-Wreath Die Set and

Am I driving you crazy? I can’t stop watercolouring at the moment, and I totally blame Altenew…  and the cool new Artists’ Watercolor 24 Pan Set!  I’ll be back soon, Hugs, Therese signature 2 Other Supplies:  Watercolor Brush Markers – Rouge / Crimson / Ruby Red / Warm Sunshine / Sunkissed / Lime / Moss.

  1. These are beautiful cards! The dark gray cardstock does provide a nice shadow. I enjoy your projects and videos where you often show me something unique and interesting, which is refreshing and appreciated. Thank you.

  2. Really beautiful cards Therese. Very pretty. You’re very creative and always an inspiration ❤️

  3. Super layers of watercolors! I did a little watercoloring earlier but should have watched your video first, lol! I feel the same way about mixing whites too. I had an off-white water color paper and went with an ivory base because they nearly, nearly matched. And the colors from Altenew are so rich. Love how you’ve used them for these gorgeous flowers. Both cards look amazing. Saw your pix on IG of Fiji… I can’t even begin to imagine what that looks and feels like in real life…especially with snow outside my windows, lol. : ) xo

  4. You may not be surprised that I think the grey was the perfect choice – loving your devil-may-care water coloring style on these, Therese. So beautiful… better go watch…xx

  5. Both beautiful cards. The grey is the perfect backdrop for them. You used one of my favourite sentiment positioning techniques – hide the mistake.

  6. I’m with you on the different whites, Therese. I have to have them all the same too. I love both of these cards and while I mostly stamp in black I’m going to do more with white embossing after seeing your gorgeous card.

  7. I love the grey circle card it is so simple and so pretty . The other card stamped with black looks too heavy and too busy – I usually love Altenew stamps but I’m not sure I would buy this one .Great colouring as always.

  8. These are both gorgeous, Therese … such lovely watercolouring whether with brush pens or the 24 colour set. The circle die cut sure shows these lovely flowers off beautifully … and the grey is so stylish on the big bouquet! I smiled at you having to have the same whites … me too … no mix and match here either! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  9. They are both incredibly gorgeous, Therese! I love how different the technique results look! Fantastic designs on both cards as well!
