I decided to stretch some Balloons today (could be dangerous lol), but what better way to do that than add some sweet Penny Black Critters! Today’s video is part of my Penny Black Gimme 5 Series which means I have 5 same but different cards to share.
Starting with a ‘bunch’ of balloons covering the whole card front
and a happy hanging hedgie from the Furry Hugs Stamp Set.
Next it was time to shake it up and this hedgie from Cheerful Critters is running as fast as he can
I used a Chat Bubble to add a bold sentiment this time.
Next it was time to frame a little baking cat from Happy Critters
all because I needed to use this sentment from the Birthday Humor Stamp Set.
I wanted another bright background and so added some alcohol ink to some Yupo paper.
This cool skateboarding cat is from the Happy Times set…. and he is very Cool!
My final card is another shaker and this Hedgie is from the Time to Celebrate set, I don’t think he realises just how big his balloon is…..
I struggled with this acetate sentiment from Good Wishes, but after much clean up managed to get it to a usable state.

I am still smiling after watching your video. Love all the balloons, the shaker elements and the great colors you used. I have to admit I am partial to the cool, sunglasses- wearing skate boarding cat! We got to see your cat recently, if I remember correctly. I watch lots of videos too, so hope I didn’t get cat appearances mixed up!

I love every one of these cards! They’re adorable and clever, and the sayings make you laugh, so do the critters and the colours make you smile cos they’re so happy! Awesome! I’m just looking at them all again and I love how each of the critters is interacting with the balloons on the cards. I’m finding it really hard to pick a favourite, but i’m thinking that it might be the cake icing the cake, i love how all that colour pops against the background and the sentiment is hillarious! tfs !!
I reckon my fave is the popped up balloons all over the card with the floating Hedgie… but I do like how the colours pop with the balloon framed cat and the sentiments are so fun I agree! Nothing like bright colours and critters to make me smile.

I think all of these cards are just awesome! Love the colours and the critters. I don’t have Yupo paper but I imagine that a similar background could be made with watercolours. Thanks for sharing and have a happy Easter.

Love all these bright, fun cards. I think the cool skateboarding cat is my favourite. I tried embossing acetate yesterday and put it in the bin. Yours looks great.
I should have prepped the acetate first (I think that usually works better… but I forgot). This acetate is LF ‘heat resistant’ and is .007″ thick so much thicker than usual and I think that is why it held up a bit better, it’s still not fantastic though, I will have to try it again and use less heat (and more prep time lol.) Oh my goodness! I want to make all these cards! They are so sweet looking. I love the colors. Those balloons are gigantic and so funny that the hedgehog is lugging it around. I think in real life he would be flying through the air holding on for dear life! Lol! I love it. You have definitely inspired me! I love that you did something with critters instead of flowers. I love love love the flowers but critters always excites me more! Thank you. I will have to definitely make a list of the supplies you used for your cards to collect it all. I truly love each and every one of them. Its very hard to say which one I like the best. I guess it will have to be a toss up between the one where you used several balloon die cuts in the background and the shaker card one! Wait one more and the one with the gigantic ballon behind him. Ok so I picked 3 out of 5, told you it was hard to decide!
