I have a video today sharing Watercolour Glazing of some beautiful flowers! Did you know that this is part of a Hop celebrating a new release from Altenew and if you are hopping along you should have arrived here from CHRISTINE’s wonderful Blog!
I have 2 cards and a video to share starting with a laaaarge flower which is actually the Mega Bloom Stencil. I blended some Shades of Purple,
and a sentiment from Sentiment Strips 2... but it was the Ink splats that took the longest to dry on the Bristol Smooth cardstock lol.
My second card has a video and I wanted to create almost an antique rose style, so I used the Statement Flowers Stamp Set and the Artists Watercolors.
I added a bold sentiment from Simply the Best and some of the new Satin White Sequins.
Have you seen the new Stamping Mat from Altenew? I kinda like the fact that it protects my work surface and I can use the heat tool on it…

I wasn’t much for splatter on cards, but I am coming around. Your splatter adds to the card instead of making it messy. It looks so nice.

Oh my goodness Therese! Your watercoloured card using my favourite product of this fabulous release, the Statement Flower, has taken my breath away with it’s subtle soft antique look. You nailed what you were trying to achieve! Was the white a watercolour or was it watered down acrylic paint or guache? Is that part of the glazing technique? I’d really like to know. Thanks.
