How to: Quick & Easy Watercolour Floral Card + Video!

Watercolouring is easy right? Well it can be, and in my video today you can see how I coloured the new Mondo Pansy from Ellen Hutson… and it seriously took just a few minutes.

We are celebrating a Summer of Stamping at Ellen Hutson and that means lots of new products so I wanted to share another quick card that I made using the Thank You for Being a Friend Stamp.

I created a background using the Painted Stripes

and added some interest with a die cut Essential Rectangle border.

I have the ‘Floral’ set of Daniel Smith half pans (there are different styles to choose from) and I couldn’t wait to try them out!

I stamped the image on some Ranger Watercolor Cardstock, which is a nice bright white!

  1. That’s such a fabulous colour combo on those stripes, Therese … so summery and eyecatching! Lovely blooms … the soft, loose watercolouring suits them beautifully! BTW … not wierd to use a separate palette … who wouldn’t want to keep that cute travel box pristine!! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  2. I love your summer colors in your stripes and that great border detail! How fun to have new paints, and I would have a difficult time getting that box messy too. I love your simple watercoloring that looks perfectly bright and cheerful!
