My First Christmas Card for 2020 & a Purple Autumn!

Have you started your holiday cards yet? Don’t judge me, but this may be my first Christmas card for this year…. are you one of those who can make Holiday cards all year round? I do admire you so, for me it’s always the big ‘rush’ to get things done lol.

I’ve made 2 cards using some gorgeous new products from Reverse Confetti. My first card today is very clean and simple. I used the Peace Tree Stamp Set in some pastel colours.

Lostinpaper - Reverse Confetti - Peace Tree - Joyful Holiday Wishes (card) 2

The sentiments are from the Joyful Holiday Wishes Stamp Set and I thought they fit the layers perfectly.

My second design is a ‘fall’ card but in another unusal colour combo… This time I created a frame of leaves using the In All Things Stamp Set.

Lostinpaper - Reverse Confetti - Pick of the Patch - In All Things - Seasonal Say it All (card) 1

And I added the cutest hedgehog and sentiment from the Pick of the Patch.

Soooo let me know, are you a ‘last minute’ Holiday card person? Cause you know that this year it’s going to get messy for us with the postal delays… not that I want to freak you out or anything lol.

      1. Fabulous cards Therese love the simple Christmas one and those leaves are perfect, purple why not

  1. Really lovely cards. I don’t think I’ll even make any Christmas cards this year … I’ve been away from home for over 6 months and have no idea when i’ll be able to get back and don’t want to duplicate any of my supplies!

  2. Love the pastel tree. CAS is always my favourite style. Having said that, the leaf frame with the cute little hedgehog (who can resist a hedgehog?) is quite lovely. Beautiful leaves.

  3. What pretty cards very different. The first is modern, clean and simple. The second is cute, love the hedgehog! I try to get my Christmas cards done before November but knowing my hub he’ll ask for a card the day before Christmas Day when they’ve all gone!

    1. I know exactly what you mean, it’s like they think we have a little stash of cards ready made for them… for my hubby it’s ‘gift tags’ to add to his staff’s Christmas presents lol.

  4. You could used this first Peace Tree design a hundred times, Therese – we’d all love one, and you’d have those Christmas cards done before you know it!
Who wouldn’t FALL in love with a hedgehog in an autumn wreath? and I love this color combo!
    =]

  5. Lovely cards! You always have the awesome-est designs, whether clean and simple or more elaborate. I do so enjoy your style and your artistry.

    1. I find my ‘go to’ style would have to be CAS but I do enjoy pushing the boundaries too, I like to try new stuff but if I am struggling then it’s back to CAS for me lol!

  6. I’m trying really hard not to be a last minute person this year … your yearly Same but Different series helps me to keep making Christmas cards.

  7. I’ve started my holiday cards. I always try to go over the top, because they are my favorite cards to make. Thank you for showing that simple can still be elegant. I will definitely give this a try.

  8. Thank you for the inspiration. I make a load of Christmas cards.
Last year just over 200. I’m expecting to make more this year. Loved the simplicity of your design and the subtle colours.
Your autumn card was so pretty.
    Cheers
    Lisa

    1. WOW! I get excited if I get to 50 lol. But it sounds like you have fun making them,… does that mean you have quite a few Christmas stamps or do you change them up to look different or do you make multiples?

  9. Absolutely no judgement…. I’m lucky if I even get one made, lol. These are wonderful Therese. I love those dark blue gems, too. LOVE, L.O.V.E. LOVE how you colored the autumn leaves.

  10. So … I’m doing well with three Christmas cards made already then, Therese!! What a delicious design … cool and graphic with a lovely touch of softness in the pastel colours … great for multiples! Your leafy frame is fabulous with the purply (is that a word?) leaves … so cute with that adorable little hedgie! Hugs, Anita 🙂

    1. Oh 3, you are sooo way ahead of me then lol. I really must publicise the ‘Therese’ dictionary, because you will find ‘purply’ in there haha Hope you are having the most fabulous week my friend x

  11. Two beautiful cards, Therese! I love the pastels on your Christmas tree! This would be a great card to mass produce 🙂 I also love how you added the hedgehog to your design on your 2nd card! I’m inspired…Thank you!

  12. Two fabulous cards. Love the pastel trees and yes the hedgehog is very cute. I have started my Christmas cards hey why not! And yes postage delays are driving me slightly silly. I have to stop myself tracking my parcels! 🙂

    1. Yes, I can only imagine that postage will be even slower over chirstmas with parcel delivery and cards etc I will have to be ‘very’ organised or ‘patient’ this year lol.

  13. Gorgeous Christmas card! I love the soft colours. The Fall card is adorable and I love the purple too! I’v lost count of the number of Chrissie cards I’ve made! Seriously:) I think it might be my reaction to Covid! I just have to remember to send them now😉

    1. Sounds like you have been making the most out of this my friend! I’ve still had full time work in this pandemic so I haven’t had any extra time at home, (other than my recent holidays) but I’m not complaining I feel lucky that I have work to go to. So many aren’t so lucky. ps I hope you remember to post them lol.
