Do you like to make fun backgrounds? Today I have 2 very different backgrounds to share with you that both started out as a simple piece of cardstock!
This post is part of a Hop celebrating a new release from Altenew so you should have arrived here from the KAREN’s fabulous Blog, and there are lots of new wonderful goodies to play with! I started today with a very clean and simple design.
These Tall Alpha Lowercase Dies were calling my name and I thought they would look great used in a ‘negative’ way lol.
I love the Ink Blending Tools from Altenew, it literally took me about a minute to make this ombre blended background!
Then I added a single flower and a subsentiment from the Tall Foliage Stamp Set.
My next card is quite ‘busy’ I created a watercolour flower background using these Fresh Cut Roses with the Watercolor Brush Marker Refills.
Then I ran it through my die cutting machine with the Organic Linen 3D Embossing Folder (ahem… LOVE!) and added some Ink Spatters.
And finally I used the Waterbrush Hello Die with a subsentiment from the Hello and Hugs Stamp Set.

Beautiful cards as always! I’ve noticed through the blog hop that many design team members did a simple black image without doing a lot of coloring. As much as I am always awed by the incredible coloring that people do, I know it’s out of my creative zone so love when I see simple and clean designs that are more my style! The first card is so elegant in it’s simplicity and then along comes the second card with the great big WOW factor. Embossing it with that awesome linen folder takes it to new levels! I’m convinced! I need that folder! LOL
