Let’s Dance the Flamingo! New Release at Ellen Hutson!

Did you know that you can use multiple colours on one stencil! Well, my pink flamingo needed a place to dance and I created her a FUN home! Check it out…

But first, did you know that this set is part of the new release at Ellen Hutson? And if you love Summer, then this one is for you. And, sitting here in the middle of Winter truly makes me want to head for warmer shores 😉! Now , onto the technique.

Card Idea – Mixing Ink & Stencils!

Let’s create a dimensional look for this Monstera Stencil. I started with a piece of white cardstock and lightly blended the Lime Rickey ink all over. Next, I added the stencil over top and used the same ink to blend the leaves but added a darker layer this time. Finally, I added All That Jazz with a Mini Ink Blending tool to get a bold effect and focused it mostly on the base of the leaves. As the ink dried the final result ‘smoothed’ out beautifully.

Now I have a beautiful Monstera garden for my flamingo Flock Star to dance!

PRO TIP: Use a low tack adhesive spray such as Pixie Spray to gently adhere the fine details of the images on this stencil.

I dressed her up with a flower on her wing and added a sentiment from the Inner Flamingo Stamp Set.
