It’s Week 5 in my‘2016 Same but Different Christmas Card Series’ and today is about about One Layer Cards! There are a few tricks that can be used to take one layer designs to the next level and today I will share a few of my faves.
The best thing about creating a One Layer Card (other than the challenge of creating exactly what you want in only one layer) is that it is easy to post and with crossed fingers it will arrive at it’s final destination in one piece and without any extra postage cost.
I’ll be back next week with the final in this series!
Other Supplies: Hero Arts (retired) – Holiday Sayings / Greetings for the Holiday. The Alley Way Stamps (retired) – Crossing Lines. Cardstock – Bazzill Petalsoft. Memento Marker – London Fog. Prismacolor Pencils – White / Warm Grey 10,20,70% / Cool Grey 50% / Deco Pink / Pink / Process Red.
I’m so excited to be back this year with my Same but Different Christmas Card Series. If you were here last year then you know that this series can contain many different ideas / themes / styles… well, almost as long as it is the ‘Same but Different’ .
Today I thought I would kick things off with a theme, so lots of different products and every card unique but all with a similar theme and colour palette, all to make creating so much quicker and easier.
Back to Colour with ‘U’ today and I’ve had this little stamp floating in my ‘to do’ basket for a while now and today was the day! So out came the Prisma’s and the Polychromos pencils and she was such a joy to colour. I decided to film, so you could watch the process.
Sadly today is my last installment for the 2015 Same but Different Christmas Series and I have saved one of the easiest and funkiest techniques til last, cause we all know it’s getting very close now and lets face facts, if your cards are not made yet you are going to want something real nice and easy… Oh, and elegant and fun to make too!
Back with another 6 Christmas cards and today is all about using the supplies that I have at hand (ie they may no longer be available but still very easy to replicate). And keeping with the retro Christmas theme with some ‘non- Christmassy’ papers and a very cas design which is very easy to make multiples of.
Back today with my second installment in the 2015 Same but Different Christmas Card Series and I’m so excited to have created this set of cards, I really had a blast and rather than babble I will just link up the video so you can watch the process for yourself.
