Don’t ask me why…. but I thought it would be funny to have the mice pedaling around the card.

I’m so excited to be back this year with my Same but Different Christmas Card Series. If you were here last year then you know that this series can contain many different ideas / themes / styles… well, almost as long as it is the ‘Same but Different’ .
Today I thought I would kick things off with a theme, so lots of different products and every card unique but all with a similar theme and colour palette, all to make creating so much quicker and easier.
This is a technique that I have been wanting to try for some time now, ever since I saw this fabulous card and video by Sandy Allnock. (Thanks yet again for more wonderful inspiration). I had this card published by the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine and was lucky enough to make the cover too!
So glad you could stop by, I’ll be back in a couple of days with another video!
Do you have lots of bits and pieces of ‘cards’ lying around? I do, and today I thought I would challenge myself to use them and here is what I created, and a quick video to show just how it came together.
Today I have a clean and simple card to share for Scrapbook Boutique. I wanted to play with my new embossing pastes from Ranger, so created my own background and then added some fun images from Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends. I decided to film as I created so that you could watch the process.
Time for another shaker card and lots of different fab companies used to create this one today for Scrapbook Boutique. I had so much fun making my own starry background and you can see how I did this in my video below.
Back today with another Cards4Men video and today it’s all about the shadow, a ‘By Request’ video (yes, this is for you Ange). I’ve used Prismacolor Pencils on this card but you could apply this technique to any kind of medium… I just find pencils are the easiest for me to blend out. But with practice, anything is possible (well, nearly lol.) Remember, after all, it’s just paper!
I had so much fun colouring this character, I’ve got a new set of Polychromos pencils, but for some reason headed to my Prismas again. I know that I am just going to have to venture there soon…
…it’s just so much is happening around here, I’m moving my room around, I have a new computer, with a new computer program, new office 365 as well as a new video editing program, so needless to say, BIG learning curves happening here on the coast, and with lots of cards to make (wish me luck)!
Other Supplies: Prismacolor Pencils – Black / French Grey 20, 90% / Warm Grey 20% / Cool Grey 70% / Burnt Ochre / Dark Brown / Jasmine / Poppy Red / Crimson Red.
