Back today with another Cards4Men video and today it’s all about the shadow, a ‘By Request’ video (yes, this is for you Ange). I’ve used Prismacolor Pencils on this card but you could apply this technique to any kind of medium… I just find pencils are the easiest for me to blend out. But with practice, anything is possible (well, nearly lol.) Remember, after all, it’s just paper!

We all agree that masculine cards can be difficult to make, but when it’s for an older teen then it becomes almost impossible lol. Today I thought I would share a video making a card that should make any young man smile.

So I decided to film as I created so you can watch the process and learn some ‘boy’ design card tips lol.

It’s something that I’ve had on my ‘to try’ list forever and finally took the plunge to buy the Dove Blender Pen. I had an old blender that I used rarely and it didn’t work very well and I liked the idea that I can refill the Dove pen and that I can use it with so many different mediums, markers, watercolour pencils, inktense, and today I chose to start out using some Distress inks….. now I’ve gotta try some others!
