Stretch Your Stamps – Multi-Inking & Gilding”ish’ flowers!

Back with Day 9 and I’m trying Jennifer’s technique Multi-Inking and Gilding: Floral Builder Stamps.  I used some fine glitter to create my stripes and ‘gilded’ leaves instead of embossing them as I was hoping the glitter would shimmer just that little bit more….   probably didn’t expect it to glitter up this much though, is there anything as too much glitter?

Friends at Muse!

Today at Muse I was thinking that it time for some flowers and with an untouched amazing set of stamps from WPlus9 (I know sacrilege right…  I need to join Darnell’s NBUS challenge lol) called Fresh Cut Florals it was easy.  So it’s one layered with some pencil shading for depth otherwise a fairly simple design.

I can’t wait to see how this inspires you!

Birthday Wishes (video)!

Back with a video today using some matching dies and stamps, aren’t these just the best!  I tend to buy dies that I think I can use for a dual purpose, now don’t get me wrong I would love to own a die for every stamp that I have, wouldn’t that be cool, but it’s just not practical, but I do love that these flower dies could be used independently , wouldn’t they look great cut out in patterned papers…  in fact I think I might just do some now lol.

I was inspired to make this card by this amazing creation from Alice Wertz, all I can say is WOW!

You can see my video here or Watch it at Youtube.

Out of the Box!

Definitely out of the box for me, I felt like making an unexpected card for one of my close friends who turned 40.  Not my best photos….   but I’m sure you get the idea, ps her 5 year old son thinks it’s the best thing since sliced bread, the card is constantly in a state of flux!

Happiness is faux letterpress!

Back with another installment for the Online Clean & Simple class and this time the technique is faux letterpress…  so I thought it really should be elegant so out came the damask.  It’s been an eon since I’ve used this stamp and it’s still a stunner in my book.

It’s a Good Day!

Making cards for fun!  I  haven’t had the opportunity to do this in what feels like eons, life has been uber busy at the moment and no hope of settling down for a few more weeks yet.  But I couldn’t resist Lisa’s Wanna Sketch and the colours in this Runway Inspiration are perfect, I  thought I would also add the bunny for the ‘fur’ element too.

Riddle me this….  is it still a OLC when I have used coloured cardstock on top of a card base?

Merry Christmas!

It’s Christmas day in Australia, Hugs to you all!

I kept it simple for my Christmas card this year and I love the elegance of a silhouette, of course my ‘wish’ list is as long as the one this Santa is holding…..  so cross my fingers lol.  I made my card a little smaller  and created my own ‘merry’ sentiment on my electronic die cutting machine, love that you can use any font and make it the exact size….   I really need to use my machine a lot more (I know my hubby would agree).
