It’s hard not to be inspired by someone as amazing as Charley Harper, his style and colour combinations are incredible and I just had to make my very own ‘Harper’ esque bird. My card had to be CAS as I wanted the bird as the focal point but I know that I will not be able to stop at creating just one of these…

The bird was so simple to create, just a pencil outline and then I freehand cut the shapes, but it could just as easily be done with dies if you had them.

I’ll admit I had to Google Charley Harper too but what an amazing artist love the sharp angles and stylised shapes. I love the pop of colour your bird gives against the watercolour background….brilliant design x
