Video : Oh my Goodness it’s time to Colour with ‘U’!

Today  I have a quick clean and simple card using a sweet Penny Black girl.

Now, I haven’t been able to work out what it is with me but for some reason I enjoy stamping off the edge….   does anyone else have this problem?

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.

Even though I have used the sentiment from this set before I had not yet stamped and coloured this girl, so I would like to share her over at Darnell’s NBUS Challenge #6.

I’ve linked the stamp below, but you can also find it at Penny Black.

  1. LOVE your off the edge cards..and this one is SO super sweet and cute too..love how you colored her hair..
You must have looked so cute too when you where young with all those curls…my hair is straight…..nu curl pin could make a curl with it..not sleeping with it the whole night…strong sprays..nothing..not even the hairdressers …could make it work…

  2. I love Off The Edge stamping, and this little girl is perfect for it! Love your CAS design and lovely Copic coloring! Thanks so much for inspiring us, Therese!

  3. She does look so cute peaking onto that card. Love the addition of BV00 for shadows – that looks so good Therese.

  4. Love the ‘off the edge’ stamping – very cute image beautifully coloured! BTW – my favourite pink is RV23 – called Pure Pink – not purply pink at all but not really baby pink either. RV10 – Pale Pink, could be what you’re looking for – very delicate and R11 – Pale Cherry Pink is what I might call baby pink. Not that I’m trying to tell the expert anything about Copics lol!

  5. Therese she looks so so cute peering round the corner, have to try this technique. Helps having a stamp that just works perfectly there too. Another wonderful card, love it.
Was just thinking when I was a child my hair was so straight you could see the cut lines in it. Not a kink. My older sister use to put kiss curls in when it was very short and rag curls when it got longer, how I slept I’ll never know and my hair was so straight it would straighten out before a couple of hours had passed but she did perserver. I love my granddaughters ringlets.

  6. Hi Therese, I only found your site a couple of weeks ago and since then I can’t stop watching your videos. Love your cards, you are so very talented. Thankyou for all the inspiration. That little girl is sooo cute.

  7. What a great way of showing of this gorgeous little stamp! You’ve really given me food for thought, thank you. I must see if this technique will suit some of my stamps, it looks so cute.

  8. It’s fun to color when you’re working with a sweet image, isn’t it?! This one reminds me a bit of Shirley Temple, with all those fun curls. And your coloring is absolutely fantastic. Love that off the edge look…might have to see what stamps I have…. Great card Therese; love it!

  9. Hair and face seem the most challenging to color and you nailed it! The video was so informative and thank you for not speeding it up. The stamp set is adorable as is the way you portrayed her on the edge of the card. The sentiment was perfect too! Really enjoyed watching your video. I am a new fan! 😊

  10. Very cute card, I was so surprised to see the actual stamp of the girl, I never would have though she was standing up with both feet on the ground. I thought she came the way you stamped it – peeking around the corner. Love to watch your videos and hear you giggle. So many designers have a very business like presentation on their YouTube videos. Thank you for such great inspiration.

  11. She looks really cute peeking around the corner like that. I took a look at the stamp set you linked, and it really does look so much different when you use just the partial image. Really lovely coloring. TFS!

  12. I love ‘off the edge’ stamping too but never think of doing it!
She’s a real cutie and I love the sentiment that goes along with her 🙂

  13. Your gorgeous card caught my attention in the NBUS gallery so I had to pop over and read more. I LOVE the idea of stamping off the edge and don’t do it enough! Thanks for the inspiration.

  14. I think your ability to even think about which images work so fantastically well stamped “over the edge” is what elevates you, Theresa! If I hadn’t seen that image in the whole, I would have assumed she was MADE to peek in from the side! You never fail to amaze and impress me and inspire me – and I think I say that every time!! I will look at my images in a whole new way now! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #6! I’m very sorry I’m late in coming by to comment. Enjoy your day! Hugs, Darnell

  15. Totally LOVE your card and “off the card” technique, and your coloring is beautifully sweet! Just bought this set because of your card! Hugs!
