How fantastic! I am thrilled to be sharing a card today forMichelle Lupton’s Challenge me a Christmas Card and the theme for us was ‘Night Before Christmas” and I took it literally using the new Altenew stamp set which is called ‘Night Before Christmas’, she must have known that I had it lol.
Yet again I had some embossing powder fun today, I’m a little bit obsessed with heat embossing everything at the moment and I thought these two tones worked perfectly together.
This card is kind of a two for one deal, I heat embossed two trees, one in each colour and then I cut them (together) on an angle and ‘re-joined’ the opposite colours on another die cut tree, it was very easy to do.
I kept it clean and simple because the tree was to be the focus.
and no need to add a sentiment, it was included!
Thanks so much Michelle for including me in this wonderful event, don’t forget to head on over to her blog HERE to see how she was inspired by this challenge and also to check out the other days and inspiration, it’s seriously been fantastic!

fantastic idea to make the tree in two colors – and so different and pretty together – just ordered that stamp set – can’t wait to start playing with it!
What a bold color combo! I love it! The idea for making two opposite cards worked out great.
Therese I just don’t know how you had the perfect cardstock to match your embossing folder!! This is an outstanding idea, and your execution couldn’t be more beautifully done! Bravo!!! xx
=]
Gorgeous – and pink and lime green is one of my favourite colour combinations, too! Thanks so much for joining me in this Christmas challenge 🙂
How beautiful are these two coloured trees….love the colours and colour scheme you chose for these cards…so eye catching..they will definitely stand out when displayed by the recipient..
Lovely. Thanks for the how to – I thought you might have masked and embossed. I’m guessing much easier to do two the way you did – not as fiddly! 🙂
Very cool! Love this idea and in these fabulous and non-traditional colors, too. I can tell that you’ve set a new trend with these two cards – they’re amazing! Keep that heat gun hot, and keep making these awesome cards! : )
Ooooh, don’t those two colours look fabulous together 😀
Simple and beautiful!
Love the two for one design idea Therese!
I love the simplicity of your card, Therese. It is just a perfect CAS card. Thanks for the inspiration.
Two for one (so to speak!) and so very pretty, Therese … the contemporary colour combo works so well with that cool sentiment filled tree! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Gorgeous cards, Therese! I’m loving this color combo, and I’ll bet the embossed effect is amazing in person!
I love the embossing, and the colors are beautiful together.
These are fabulous!
Such fun colors and so cool how you put them together!
These are great non traditional cards !
