Lostinpaper - Art Impressions - Edna - Galaxy Backgroudn (card) 1

I can see why people like to create ‘galxay backgrounds’ seriously fun, but only with gloves on (wink)!

  1. A wonderful take on the mood board Therese! Your background is superb – and I note that Black Soot was used – I really must buy that colour as it makes all the difference to the night sky effect! Love Edna – what a hoot! I was disappointed with my effort for this challenge, but I was so busy over Christmas break that I didn’t have time to make another card. It’s incredibly difficult for me to post a card I’m not happy with, but today, I’m feeling resigned to it, and promise myself to do better next time! It’s the flat black that I don’t like mainly! C’est la vie!

    1. Hi Megan, this is my first ‘galaxy’ background and I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it came together… although I did have to wear gloves, I can’t do inky fingers lol. I think I definitely have the wrong hobby, but that won’t stop me. I promise to share a video in the future on how I created this background but there are some wonderful ones out there at Youtube, I just searched ‘galaxy background cards’. Thanks for your lovely comments and for visiting, Crafty hugs, Therese

  2. Being an auburn hair woman, I so love Edna!
Card is so much fun. Love the mystical background.
    One very classy card.
    Cheers
    Lisa

  3. So much fun, Therese … Edna looks glorious against that galaxy background! Love the idea of using gloves to do inky stuff … thanks for the tip … I don’t to inky fingers well at all! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  4. This has me smiling, Therese! Love this amazing background, and I’ll admit that I’m not confident enough to try this…yet…but who knows, maybe someday soon! LOVE your chubby little fairy! She’s gorgeous, and dressed fabulously in gold. What a darling card!! Have a wonderful week. : )

  5. Your little Edna is so darling, Therese! Beautiful coloring and placement…especially with your gorgeous galaxy background…WOW!

  6. Wow Therese this is so different from you but off course you took it in your stride and mastered it. Love your galaxy background. They are fun and I don’t mind getting inky. Have been doing a bit of that while visiting my bff in Townsville. And yes your colouring of Edna is spot on. So cool!

  7. Lovely. I like Edna might have to add her to my stash! Gorgeous background can’t believe it’s your first galaxy background – great job. (I agree with the inky fingers & gloves). 🙂
