I have a fun technique to share today, and the cards all came out so very different but there is something the same going on here I promise.
I’ve been having soo much fun with these Penny Black Christmas stamps that I just can’t stop…. Starting with the Hometown Christmas set and the reason for this whole video.
Love the simplicity of this one and I did consider just a little bling on the stars, but I held my ground… this time.
I used the same set to create my next design but this time I used a single image to stamp out my lines.
These Dancing & Prancing penguins would have to be my fave!
And I couldn’t resist a Chat Bubble sentiment from the Sweetest Moments set.
I used multiple images from Nature’s Friends to create my lines of images on this design.
And my last card is totally different, I used the Christmas Poinsettia to stamp a panel and cut this into ‘lines’.
The sentiment is from the coordinating Xmas Poinsettia Cut Out set.
and the full set of ‘same but different’ designs…
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

I’ve linked all of the products that I used today below, and I have to say that I am so excited to get started on my Christmas card designs, although I know there will still be a mad rush at the end… there always is lol. Crafty hugs,

Fabulous collection Therese, love your ideas with the soft background stamping. Another collection of wonderful stamps and ideas.
5 super fun cards. I will have to see what I can stamp in a row. Haven’t used my Kiskars tool for ages, but may give this a go with the Stamparatus
Love your cards, using one colour makes it faster for multiple cards, I really loooooove the penguins.
love love love…. well I can’t wait to see your next ones as I think I’m addicted to your series of gimme 5 – very creative Therese xx
Very wonderful set of cards. I do like them all, but love the pop of orange on the penguin card. Very unexpected. I don’t use orderly lines of stamps for the background so often, but might have to try that! TFS!
These are just fabulous, Therese! Nice variations on a theme and all so unique.
Excellent quick and easy cards, Therese. I love Penny Black stamps.
Thank you for sharing
Txx
These are just great. So glad to see your Gimme Five series again!
Great card designs. Great tips in the video too. The grey is the perfect background colour in the last card.
Such creative ways to use those stamps and your idea of ‘row’ stamping makes them so unique! Love these designs!
Fantastic set of easy quick cards!! 🙂
Your cards are beautiful ! I specially love the color you’ve selected for the animals’ card (I’m a “blue girl” – LOL !). It make it look like animals on snow and I would never have thought to use a blue. And the penguins card with the little one colored is so funny, really awesome.
Thank you for the inspiration, I’m always happy to get ideas for quick cards at this time of the year !
Therese, I have one of those Fiskars stamp presses but don’t use it at all since I bought the MISTI but I just love how easy it is to line up and stamp images to create a background, so I changed my mind, I’m keeping this tool for sure.
All of these cards are beautiful Therese, my favorite is the one with the penguins, what a sweet and happy bunch.
I love these “Gimme 5” videos, they are absolutely delightful to watch and full of amazing ideas to create.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Hugs.
Maria.
I love these. I have a few more cards to make, so I will definitely use this technique. I don’t own any Penny Black stamps, but I’m pretty sure I will after watching this. Thank you for always inspiring me.
Wonderful, not only are the main coloured images eye catching but the backgrounds are pretty & eye catching to.
Thanks for the great tips about the stamp press. I rarely use mine but I might have to get it out and try some cards like this. Your cards are awesome, by the way!
So excited to see it’s close enough to Christmas to watch you work your magic! Oh what am I saying, you always work your magic! Fantastic cards, Therese – I love how you show so many ways to create horizontal lines of images. I’m hoping to catch up on all I’ve recently missed of your work…
Really lovely cards, must get my stamp press out, haven’t used it in ages. I have to say I am SO VERY JEALOUS of your thunder, traumatised cat or not… di you et rain? I’d love some proper rain.
hahaha, Yes we did get rain, not much that day, but it’s been bucketing down the last few days and apparently not letting up for the rest of the week. Hope you get some rain soon too, I’m happy to share if you like (wink).
These are all WONDERFUL, Therese!
These are just stunning Therese
Aren’t those penguins delightful! My favorite series ever.
I’ve been saving this post for a ‘feeling better’ day, Therese! I didn’t want to chance those sneezes somehow being sucked into the airwaves!
Every card better than a Radio City Music Hall high-kicking line up, my friend! I’m off to soak up your brilliance…
=]
Wonderful video, wonderful cards. I love, love your remarkable gimme five cards!
Love the “Nutcracker” music on both ends of your video! Perfect for these amazing cards. That penguin card stole my heart; DH is a big fan of those little creatures, and I’ll have to show him later! We’ve had our share of rain this Fall season, and it can stop anytime for a few days. I don’t know if I’d have the patience to color a poinsettia like you did – your card turned out beautifully, and fit perfectly in with the line design of the first four. Wonderful cards, and wonderful video. Sending hugs.
I love every single one of these, Therese. I’m especially interested in the Nature’s Friends one because I have that set and never quite know what to do with it.
Great set of 5. Love the penguins too.
Your Gimme Five series is always so inspiring, Therese … brilliant ideas, beautifully done … each card is fabulous! I’m rather partial to those prancing and dancing penguins … looks like a great party! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Fabulous collection, Therese! Love how you’ve used repetition so creatively. The penguins are adorable and that colorful little car in a collection of trees is wonderful. Thanks for always providing such great inspiration!
Therese – what LOVELY & cute cards! I recently had eye surgery, but still hoped to make some holiday cards this year (& some holiday/birthday ones). I wasn’t sure if I could do very much detailed coloring, but you have shown us all the perfect solution! We can stamp backgrounds, but only need to color one stamp for the focal point – SO perfect, & I also like the CAS ‘look.’ Thanks for your wonderful examples….. I love watching your tutorials, while listening to the lovely bird sounds in the background! With that thunder, my one cat would be under the bed like yours – while my other cat LOVES to be outside during storms – what a pair!
Loving the theme for this set of cards and the colour splash with the black and white is so fresh and contemporary for Christmas. x
Great cards love them all.
