Today I share two different ways to use the Dotted Blooms Mask Stencil from Altenew. This is part of my Take 2 with Therese video series with Altenew and if you haven’t caught any of these videos before I have a link to my playlist with more inspiration HERE.
I stamped a background using the layering portion of the Dotted Blooms Stamp Set and added colour with the negative Mask Stencil.
A overlay of vellum added softness to the card.
My second design uses a vase from the Life is Beautiful Stamp Set. And this time I added a halo around the flowers using the positive Mask Stencil pieces.
The sentiment is from the Wispy Begonia Stamp Set.

I follow you, so I first saw these in my email….so I went to YouTube and watched it there…so beautiful Therese……Your work is always a mind blower….so now that I am sitting here with no mind, what do I say? LOL…..I love both cards so much and am even more excited as I just found the email telling me that the set that I ordered has been shipped. Your designs look amazingly soft and simple. This is the very first time I’ve come across your blog and I am glad. I like to make simple designed cards as well, I think they look very elegant. I don’t have a Life Changing brushes yet, what is your honest opinion on them?

So far the brushes have been brilliant for me, I am a terrible blender unless it was with the Oxides or if I was adding ‘heavy’ colour, but I always wanted the lighter blended look and I can easily achieve this with the brushes where I haven’t been able to with sponges. I hope this makes sense. I think you can buy them ‘singly’ or in smaller packs so it might be worth trying one to see if you like it. Thanks so much for your lovely visit today, Crafty hugs, Therese

The background under the vellum is a wonderful way to display the branch of flowers, Therese. The branch is also lovely in the vase.

I am praying the back surgery I am having on the 4th will lessen my pain enough that I can craft more than I am able to now.
