Today I share 2 different ways to take it Over the Top in my Gimme 5 video with Penny Black. I decided to keep the same colour theme throughout my designs today but they are all very different.
I wanted to show that this technique can be used in many different styles and with pretty much any stamps that you want. Starting with this Delicate Beauty.
I used my new fave sentiment set in most of my cards today and it’s called Good Wishes.
My second card is a cute’sy one using the Tea Time hedgehog.
I made life difficult for myself by embossing the Wood Floors and then adding colour, but I got there in the end.
I love that this new Monarch die coordinates with the older Flights of Fancy die.
And this sentiment is also from the Tea Time stamp set.
My Critter Celebration involved some mouse ‘twirling’ thanks to the amazing inspiration from Sandy HERE.
And my final design uses the Rose Garden cling stamp, what can I say but I am…… swooooning here.

Fabulous cards, Therese! I’ll admit that this is one of my most favorite color combinations – and it works perfectly for all of your designs. I’d seen the ‘twirls’ that Sandy had done too, and gave myself a good smack…how simple and what a great way to give an image motion! If I dare try it, I will heed your advice and practice first! Love all the cards, but especially the first and the last ones. Something about flowers, I guess, lol! Those roses are incredible! I may have to try an over the top card one of these days. I just love these cards and the partial die cutting technique. The hedgehog in the teacup and the mice are so cute. Must give this technique a try you have inspired me.

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these cards, so thanks for reminding me, Therese. Those little mice are so cute and he does look like he’s spinning. The garden of roses is spectacular and what is more adorable than a hedgehog in a tea cup.
