I am trying to be good… and so far, so good! I am sick of those ‘left over pieces’ lying around not being used so this year I decided to use them on a card as I am creating, so that means today you get to see not just one, but two cards!
Starting with the Triangle Element ‘left over’ design (so if you came from YouTube you need wait no longer), here it is!
I just had to add the new MFT Purrfect Friends and look at me go with my ‘line art’, I think this is a great technique for a guys design.
And you can watch me blend on Neenah in the video below… spoiler alert, I prefer Bristol Smooth but I am still a ‘blender beginner’ lol.
I heat embossed a sentiment from an older Altenew set called Super Script, and I think that simple fonts always work well on a masculine card design.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

Do you use your ‘left over’ pieces as you create or do you put them aside planning to use them one day with good intentions…. like I did (wink)? Looking forward to seeing you here again real soon, Hugs

Oh Therese I do love your cards, especially the first one. It reminds me of a comedy sketch by the Two Ronnies. I think it’s called “The I look up to him†sketch. I have to have that stamp set. Love the colourway too!
Both cards are neat. Love the little critters. So cute.
Your blending turned out great. It does take time though, doesn’t it? Two really good designs – love them.
What a gorgeous colour blend on those triangles, Therese … so deliciously CAS … and wonderfully masculine with the white on grey sentiment! Love the triangle outlines … a great combination of airy and graphic … and the outline cat and cute duck are just so fun! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Awesome work!! I Love the CAS look 🙂
These are great, CAS and yet so clever.
Great guy cards. Those are the type I struggle with! Do I have left over bits and pieces? When filled up the second container, I decided last week that I had to start using them instead of starting new stamping. I put all the odd leaves in a little tray and all the flowers i another and got started. Many cards later,, I am still going, but have had fun. Of course no guy cards resulted!
Therese they are both extra fun and masculine… look at you go, indeed, that’s my next step… xx

One day over our winter, I took all those half-made cards and finished them. If I was unhappy with them, they went in the granddaughter card box. And I’ve got a small box on the desk for those die cuts that I haven’t used. I do try to pull them out, but if I don’t get to them, the girls will! Love your triangle card. Your color choice is wonderful, and I do like the gray cs for the sentiment. Another great video, and do say ‘hi’ to your brother from all your bloggie friends! ; )
these are great cards … I love the colours
Um left over bits! yes I have a whole container on my desk top I hope to work through sometime soon – it’s taking up valuable real estate 🙂 Love your two cards. I’m not sure I have the patience for all the little triangles!
My brother uses FaceTime when he wants to speak to me. That means I can keep on He is also 8 hours away from me. Me USA, he in The Netherlands. I like the second card you made with the little duckie and the cat, but I like the triangle pieces card more.
I meant to say, keep on crafting! Somebody that bit dissapeared.
Great CAS masculine. I love a good triangle so these are very appealing. I think the grey is more confidently cool than bold in your face black.
I get called away when mid gluing – I make them wait as I don’t want to muck it up at the last minute!
Love the cards you made the second is very funny
As for blending i found that if you tap to the side as opposed as blending directly from the ink pad it is cleaner
I will try that next time, thanks so much Genevieve. Hope you have a happy and crafty day!
Both cards are wonderful! Love those cute little critters! The critters are so you, a kitty and a birdie! : ) Better send the critter one to your brother! Lol! My “mum†keeps telling me I need to makes cards for my two brothers! 🧡 So that’s my next task!
Love these cards!! The kitty looking up at that little bird is adorable.
Fantastic CAS cards! I love the way you used the leftover pieces 🙂
Just a great set of cards. Love a two cards from one technique.
Love the colours you’ve blended today. I, too, am a fan of the Bristol card stock.
Have the 80 and 110 in the Neenah because I like the perfect match in hue.
I also have a marshmallow card stock which I really love just stamping on.
I don’t think there is such thing as a one size fits all in paper.
Thanks for the cards today.
Cheers
Lisa
This is so cute! Love those little critters!
What neat cards, Therese! Love the blending & designs! They work for men, but anyone would love to get one of these! Sometimes I use the left overs & sometimes it’s weeks later–like one of the cards I posted today.
Two lovely masculine cards!
Two fabulous cards, Therese! Great graphic look for a masculine card, and I love the “line art” look! I recently went through that box of “good intentions”, made a few cards and purged the rest. Now if I have a left over image, I tuck it in back of the stamp envelope, but not so much with die cuts.
I find that I have been ‘more likely’ to use a ‘left over’ if it’s with the stamp set, but I’m trying to make the card now if time allows… lets see how it goes lol. Hugs my friend x
