Today I share 5 cards using the Penny Black Special Friends Stamp Set, it’s so much fun stretching a set into 5 similar but different designs!
This is part of my Gimme 5 Series for Penny Black and if you haven’t seen these before then you can check out heaps more at my YouTube Channel Here.
I started with a fun Brusho background
and then added some silhouette leaves with a sentiment banner.
Next I had some fun creating a sweet little mirror image hedgehog, and I added a negative space border with the Lovely Border Dies.
The sentiment is from the Love Sentiments Stamp Set.
Then I decided to put the whole group together
which was a breeze with the co-ordinating dies.
And some more negative space with the Cut Out Wreath Die
and a sweet Snippet of a sentiment.
Finally my fave, which uses the beautiful Rose Garden Stamp Set and a subtle Square Frames Border.
This beautiful sentiment is from the Smitten Stamp Set.

I loved the cards you did with this set in the past and have been trying to convince myself that I don’t need it. You have shown again how cute those images are so I may have to give in. Lol I hope you do the new whimsical animals soon, they look fun.

Such fun cards – you do them so well. I loved the last card with the roses, and as always, you amaze me with how fast you colour them. I was impressed with you using the brushos, as I have avoided them because they usually look really messy, but you nailed it. Happy Easter – hope the bunny pops in with something delicious.

Therese every time I sit down to make a card I suffer from a creative block and then I stalk your blog!
Do you use the same size card most of the time?
Yes I basically use A2 sized cards (which is half of a USA A4 cardsheet which is then folded) either landscape or topfold portrait style. I used to use the Australian A4 cut in half and folded but I have found the Neenah easier to get here now so have converted to that so I can have ‘matchy matchy’ whites in both 80lb and 110lb weight. Your GImme 5 videos are always so inspiring, Therese. I don’t have this set of stamps but I did make a black Brusho panel as soon as the video was over. Now I have one to use with something else. All of these cards are so cute.
