What’s not to love, Altenew always have the bestest stuff! And the new Paint-A-Flower: Iris is gorgeous and we are hopping along to celebrate the release so you should have arrived here from the CALY’s amazing Blog!
But that’s not all that is being released today, it’s time for some Watercolor Paper and these are brilliant! The little Paper set is ‘white’ and the Artists Watercolors blended like a dream.
And I did make a card too lol. I did a highlight technique by cutting a window with the Rounded Rectangles die.
Stamped out the beautiful Paint-A-Flower: Iris and relaxed and coloured with the Artists Watercolors.
and a simple sentiment from the Flower Vine Stamp Set.
Did you see that there is a smaller 12 pan version of paints available today too called the Watercolor Essential Set it’s a great option to try these wonderful paints and it has 12 of Altenew’s best colours to play with… but if it’s the full set that you are wanting, there are 24 colours in the Artists’ Watercolor palette…
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

As a teen, the field next to our house was vacant but I found some iris growing there and dug a few and brought them to our garden. When I left home, I took a couple to plant in my garden. A few always went with me to the next home and I still have some in my garden….and I’m retired! I love iris. This card is gorgeous.
Such a gorgeous card! Your watercoloring is amazing…
Thanks so much for sharing.
Really like the two layer card. The watercolored center section makes such a nice contrast with the black and white portion of the card.
Beautiful card design and colouring. I like the contrast between the black and white and coloured portions.
What is the mask situation like in hospital?
It is going to be interesting times at work, I know the government have employed Australian companies to produce protective wear, but I don’t know if we will see the benefits in the private sector… it’s going to be a wait and see I suppose. Hugs Therese
Beautiful! I love this card!
You did a great job with the painting these in blues.
Irises are such a gorgeous flower! So glad to see this new stamp set featuring an all time favorite. Your card is beautiful. Thanks for the water-coloring tips on your video; very helpful as always.
It’s always fun to see you watercolor, and this is a beautiful design. I love the flowiness (is that a word?) of the iris stamp.
Stunning card. The blue against the simple black and white outline is so creative!

Great technique.
This is beautiful and a perfect card design when you want to send a watercolored look, but haven’t a lot of time for creating. 🙂

That spotlighting is sooooo pretty! Great card!
I really enjoyed your glazing technique – very helpful video. Your window card is a nice idea and a great inspiration. Thank you for your contribution to the Hop!
I just love watching you create! I will have to try this glazing technique. Thanks for the inspiration!
Such a pretty card, Therese. I am so fascinated how you manage to control where the water-colour went – int didn’t go over the edges. I am going to ry this, but I have low expectations, lol. Take care. xxx
hahaha you can raise those ‘low’ expectations, add the clean water wherever you want to paint to be, then drop the paint in and let the magic happen… here’s the trick, don’t do this next an are that is wet as this will pull the colour into it, so paint areas that are not touching and then (the hard bit) wait for it to dry before adding another layer or painting directly beside it. Have fun! Hugs Therese
I love how you did the color box on top. Very pretty
Therese, your card is beautiful! Thanks for another fabulous video – and for introducing the term “glazing” to me!!
So lovely, Therese … in blue? Yes. please! See how I’m growing? xx

Smashing colours on your Iris!! I love the window you made for your card! I’ve subscribed to your blog, channel & on BlogLovin. Thank you for the great tips on water colouring. I’m learning that myself. What part of Australia do you live? I have family in N.S.W. My Mum & I visited my Uncle & his family in ‘84 & absolutely adored it! I would love to come back one day. Watercolours & Iris=Absolutely Gorgeous!! God Bless & the Love of Christ to you all!!

Gorgeous, Therese, and I love the technique. I guess I don’t use enough water when I try to let the paint flow.
Beautiful!
I like the dimension on your card. The flower is beautiful. Can’t wait for my stamp set to arrive.
Goodness, yes, I always learn something (read lots of things!) when I see your videos, Therese … like this beautiful glazing! As patience is a virtue, you must be very virtuous waiting for the layers to dry!! It’s a gorgeous card … so lovely in the soft blues! Do hope you’re staying safe, especially so given your profession … hugs, Anita 🙂
Really pretty card
So effective, Therese!! Love the glazing look! Must do it more! Great soft look!!! Stay safe!!! 🙂
Beautiful card! Fabulous design and loving the blue ♥
I love how you colored only the popped up section!
Beautiful. I love the colors you used.
Super beautiful spotlight technique!! Love it! <3
Gorgeous card. Thanks for sharing the glazing technique. I’m not a very good colorist, but I plan to try this. Love this PAF lily.
So lovely! Great technique to have just a pop of colour in the middle (and to not colour the whole image for a quick and easy colour!)
Very pretty card. Thank you for sharing ☺
That beautiful blue makes for a stunning Iris! Gorgeous card.
I’m really happy to learn about the glazing technique and enjoy watching you make this beautiful card!
I LOVE THAT CARD!!! And thank you for the video — they are always so helpful. Going to try this asap.
Just made some cards last week and cutout the center for a pop-up look . It’s a fun way to make a card. This blog hop is fun, in that no two people have been using this stamp set the same way. All artists and showing their stuff. Thanks for spending some time and crafting for us. Staying home, crafting and being safe. Take care.. 🙂
I love your card! The raised rectangle matched perfectly with the bottom piece! (I definitely have a hard time with that – so far!) I really like the way you watercolored the iris, too! Thank you for sharing your talents and time!
Gorgeous design! Really pretty too xx
This is such a stunning effect that you share so beautifully. I can’t handle how much beautiful inspiration you share… all the time!!! Thank you, my beautiful friend.
