Do you like to use Rainbows in your card designs? Today I share how I created my own Rainbow Backgrounds and how I also made them into 5 different cards!
Welcome back to another Gimme 5 video featuring Penny Black, if you haven’t been here before this is a video series where I create 5 Same but Different cards and you can check out my previous videos right HERE!
Like I said, today is all about ‘handmade’ rainbows! I started with a Butterfly Copic Rainbow using the Kisses for my Sweet Stamp Set.
The sentiment is from a fun set called Good Wishes.
I decided to make a Rainbow blended stripe panel using the Distress Oxide inks and stamped the puppy from So Much Love.
I coloured him with Prismacolor Pencils and added a great mix and match sentiment from Only You.
My most simple design is next with a Copic hand drawn Rainbow and A Big Hug bear!
I added a Let’s Chat speech bubble sentiment and some sequins.
Next I wanted some pastle coloured rainbows and made a water fountain elephant card using the Love & Cuddles Stamp Set.
The sentiment is from the Love Sentiments Set. And this card was inspired by my friend Kara and her fabulous card and video HERE, check it out!
My final design has a simple watercolour striped Distress Ink background using pastel colours again. I stamped the Blushing flower 3 times
and added a sentiment from the Million Thanks Stamp Set.

What a fantastic collection, Therese … each one looks so different from the others! I especially love what you did with the butterflies … it really does seem as though the rainbow is coming from that gorgeous kaleidoscope of colours!
