Have you ever tried layering 2 stencils together? The results are such FUN! Today it’s time to get inspired by yet another class from the Summit and can you guess who our teacher is?
It is one of my favourite papercrafters who is a brilliant clean & simple card maker, insert drumroll here…. it’s Laurie Willison from Soapbox Creations. And her class is called Creative Masking with Laurie.

I made 5 cards today starting with one that was very similar to Lauries. ALL my cards used her Masking Stencils.
Which made the process very easy and fast to do.
I added the Mondo Holly with some Classy Stripes.
I used another flower for my next design. This time I chose the Modern Poinsettia.
And a strategically placed foil sentiment to cover an ink smudge.
Then I decided to change it up a bit and tried a Circle Mask.
And this time I added a bird from the Holly Tweet set.
Then, I really decided to change things up and chose a cartoon style image which is from Snow Much Fun.
And this time I added some Diamond Snowflakes in the background.
Now I was really having fun and pushing limits so next I chose this fun deer and tree from Santa’s List.
And of course my fave sentiment set came out again this year. I do hope it’s still available!
I would never have tried these together if it wasn’t for Laurie’s class. Isn’t it great to push a few comfort boundaries and have fun along the way!
