Have you ever used ‘leaves’ on your Holiday card designs? Today I share 5 FUN leaf design ideas!
This is the final video for my Same But Different Christmas Series 2021. And just in case you missed my other videos from this series you can check out my playlist right here Christmas card series for 2021!
I began with the Holly Berry Turnabout Stamp Set.
And I added a beautiful embossed sentiment from Sweetest Moments.
Next I used the Perfect Poinsettias 3D die. YES, these are actually leaves!
With another fab Penny Black sentiment from the Love & Peace stamp set.
This next card had other ideas for me. But I do love this Gum Leaves Branch image. Check out another Christmas VIDEO using it HERE.
To add some quick colour I used an Ink Blending Tool. Which caused some problems…. and you can see why in the video!
Next I decided to use the leaves to create a ‘frame’. You could use any images for this technique.
I used some from Holiday Sprigs and Poinsettia and Pine. And this sweet sentiment is from the Joyful Holiday Wishes Stamp Set.
This next card is my favourite today. I used the Berry Kissed Stamp and coloured it with pencils.
This sentiment is from the Christmas Moments set.

It’s always great to see some failures saved. My favourite is the last card. The effect is magical.

You make the MOST beautiful cards!! The Berry Kissed one is probably my favorite. It’s one of my favorite stamp sets – I’ve used it a few times but never in anything but the traditional colors. I’m very inspired to try something different with it. Thanks sooooo much for sharing your talent with us.
Thank you so much Susan, another great colour combo that I think would work well for the Berry Kissed is the pinky purples (almost like an autumn toning….) we must give that one a try too!

I always forget that Poinsettia “flowers” are actually leaves! I love the turnabout stamps, and this one looks awesome
I always call them flowers too, I have them in my garden and when they are in ‘bloom’ they definitely look like a flower!

Isn’t it great when you have a wonderful local store, sadly I don’t have any near me, but I have a couple of wonderful online stores that keep me happy and are actually not that far away and sometimes I get to go to the physical store…. but that hasn’t been so easy lately lol. I love the colors you used for these cards, Therese. I pulled out my turn-about immediately (I haven’t used it this year) to remind me to use it with your colors. I have all but Skylight. The branch and berry card is gorgeous.

Thanks so much Lee, Nursing has been good to me and the shift work helps with some crafty time, but next year I’m going part time so I’m pretty excited about that… I’m thinking more crafty time, I think my hubby is thinking more camping and fishing lol.
